It's just the same story isn't it.

It's like we're trapped in one of those horror movies set in an old mansion where the doomed guests keep ending up in the same room whichever direction they go. Just when you think you've escaped the ghosts of MacGuire and Lindeloff they're somehow right in front of you again, clinking their chains and lumbering slowly forwards.

Ten Hag has gone the way of all his predecessors, rambling like a madman and dancing about under the shadow of a swinging axe. Bashing at the door of the crypt is the walking corpse of Johnny Evans, freshly risen and snarling in defiance. Above the mantelpiece a huge portrait of Alex Ferguson seems to be weeping blood.

Ten Hag retains backing of Man Utd

Sky Sports News understands Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag retains the backing of the club to turn things around at Old Trafford.

The belief and confidence in Ten Hag has not wavered despite recent results.

The long-term commitment to Ten Hag - he signed a contract until 2025 with the option of a further year - is unchanged.

Ten Hag is understood to be appreciative of the support but is well aware results need to improve in the short term.


He's got the vote of confidence - can't be long now (unfortunately).
Paddy Power & Betfair have him at evens to be the next PL manager for the chop. He was 10/1 a week ago.
