Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I disagree with the people who think that modern footballers should be able to play 3 games a week and 70 odd games a season.
Fatigue is an issue in the modern game. Both mentally and physically.
It's not 1970. The game is totally different from so many aspects.

And the recover is totally different.
These players have physios on hand at the drop of a hat. Some have personal physios to help with recover. They have access to better nutrition, fitness equipment etc.

He's won it more than anyone else in our team.
On par with saying Mendy has won stuff. Factually correct, but doesn’t paint the whole picture does it?
The 4 CL’s he’s “won” he didn’t start any of the finals and only came on in two of them.
Mendy was washed up by his mid 20s. Kova has played for top clubs throughout his career. To be a squad player isn't bad for us and RM.
I think the only game here looked out of sorts was Arsenal away, He played well at The Bernabau and was one of the few not to have a total stinker at Wembley. Let's not forget there were loads slagging Gundo off after his 1st year
He’s barely played for top clubs. Hardly played for Madrid. Hes a good squad player and definitely useful to have around. Should be absolutely nowhere near our first team.
Is he better than Rico? Probably not.

Aston Villa have agreed a fee with Chelsea for a deal to sign Dutch defender Ian Maatsen.
The 22-year-old will cost between £35m and £40m
Great buy for Villa. He’s supposed to have been on our radar for a few years since Vincent had him at Burnley.

He's only played for top clubs. Over 100 games for Madrid in 3 seasons, over 150 games for Chelsea in 5. He's certainly a very good squad player to have even if not in the 1st 11.
No arguments from me over Rico I love the kid. I'd have him ahead of Walker

Was he the one at Dortmund and played in Champs league final? If so he was really impressive in the semi and final

That’s the fella. Dortmund had a buy option for £35m and have said no. Very weird club.

I liked the other one, Schlotterbeck. Seemed similar to Stonesy.
Regarding Kova, he is a decent squad player, but wouldn't play him in a crucial game. He came here to replace one of the best and smartest midfielder I've seen, Gundog. Huge shoes to fill.

Watching the goals from last season, I reckon long term Rico could do that Gundo role. Arriving late in the box and scoring - Palace last season

Walker hasn't scored a goal in the last 3 full seasons. Rico always looks like he can score. I saw his goal from right back in the youth final against Everton just before he joined up with the 1st team and then pre season just after that when he hit the post against Bayern Munich from a very similar position as was his Champions League goal his 1st season. When he's down the right with Bobb they have a fantastic understanding.

I swear I can't understand what Rico's best position is. I think he was played too much on different positions. He should stay on one until he get's the hand of it and then experiment. But agree, him and Bobb on the right looked the best I've seen so far.

Don't we own 49%, or something. Cheating our way out!

Nobody cares about that cup.
Suppose though next season in the cartel media it will be a massive competition.

That's not the issue. I've heard we could play 75 club games next season. Most of our players are internationals, so that's possibly over 80+ games! There is no outfield player who can do that and can consistently perform at the highest level.
We need a real backup for Rodri. And we need to get it right this time around.

Apparently Savio deal is fine as it was done before May 14 guidance from UEFA on multi club ownership.
