Ederson captain by default most senior player on the pitch. Don't believe all the click bait, or even Pep's comments... Pep hasn't actually confirmed "Eddy" wants away.... simply that he won't stand in his way IF he wants to go.

Can’t see any point in keeping Phillips. Every time he plays he’s shite. I suppose Kovacic can play DM. Personally I’m disappointed we didn’t get Guimaraes but it was a high price. Why haven’t we gone for a RB though? Not another season of Walker playing high right and showing his technical flaws.

The point being he is no worse than Phillips and we sold him for £10.5m and bought Phillips for nearly £50m! He should have been brought in as backup for Rodri.
