Nice one. I’ve heard McAtee and Bobb played well again. High hopes for both this season!

Josh played alright this summer? On the highlights (apart from the first game) he’s looked alright. No worse than Gomez.

He wasn't great against Barca and then he was ok for 45 minutes yesterday and went off injured. He's no worse than Gomez defensively which isn't anything to shout about and way worse than him going forward. He'll be a Division 1 player I reckon

I thought exactly the same last year. But another year on......

If the article is to be believed, McAtee and the newly blossomed O'Reilly are joining the squad

Same standard as Phillips then. Wonder if we’ll get £43m for him

Agree with that. He isn’t going to be good enough for us even as a squad player. I think he will go to a Championship club though rather than Division 1. Probably for £4/5M or so with add ons and a sell on as well

Phillips was an England International when we bought him

So were Conor Coady and Eric Dier at the time. I don’t think judging a player on whether they’ve made the England squad or not is the stick to measure them by.

To be fair, he did look a good player we should be signing. Obviously Pep and Txiki thought so too. Probably actually a very delicate personality. In his comfort zone at Leeds, full of confidence, he looked good. Ever since he's been shite, even at West ham.

I briefly saw his life story, probably a lot of MH going on here.

Another loan at best. Utd are looking to boost squad depth......

Agree. My point was Phillips at the time of signing him was way in excess of what JW-E is at present and in all probability will ever be.
