Especially when he signed a new contract last year until 2028! Won everything there is to win in the last two years - definitely £80m + for me.
Atletico have apparently turned his head. Imagine going from the best in the world to the equivalent of Aston Villa.

Has there ever been a decent Italian defender in the Prem?
None that I can recall.
I didn't realise that the only Italian to have a Prem league title to their name is Balotelli...
I can’t recall any decent Italians in the Prem apart from Balo. Di Canio? They’re not really suited to the fast pace.
Zola, Di Matteo and Vialli, no defensive or GK of note, all creative or finishers.
Zola and Di Matteo great shouts. Vialli was terrible - highest tally was 11 goals in a season, he got 9 the season before.
I did love that Chelsea team though. Not sure if it was the catchy “We’re gonna make it a blue day!” FA Cup final song they realised.
Casiraghi was good also, before his injury.
I thin you lot forgot the wonderful Taibi. What a signing that was.

Pep warns City wont be at their best till after the Ipswich game because the players need rest. We don’t know when Rodri Foden Walker and Stones will be back. Some time after next Monday presumably.

Need a rest?! Fuck me, they’ll have had a couple of weeks holiday, how much do they need? They’re not down the mines everyday ffs.
Foden will want to play asap, he’s not a wet lettuce

I think they'll all want to play bar Stones.
Walker asked to play against Arsenal the 1st game of the 18/19 season after the World Cup. Foden always wants to play and Rodri will have had his few week rest so will be ready and happy.

The non euro finalists are back next Monday. I assume the finalists will be back after that. Whatever people on this site think Pep doesn’t think we’ll be back at her best until after the Ipswich match. You’d think Kevin and Stones will need more time than Foden to get up to speed.

We’re getting €25m for Yan Couto. Fuckin pathetic. Same amount as Harwood Bellis and one just played in the top division in Spain and helped the team get into the CL. Our sales are always dog shit

A loan with an obligation to buy of £25M has been agreed
I wonder if that’s our preference in order to have guaranteed money next season? Maybe the academy doesn’t have as many prospects we can sell next year? And we have raised quite a bit this season

Makes zero sense. He goes there and absolutely smashed it and we have multiple clubs interested and could get £40-50m for him. Why so low at £25m?

I'm guessing these clubs who were interested didn't actually make an offer? And it was probably bullshit journalism?

Joao Neves to PSG from Benefica. 60 million euros plus add ons. Expensive for a 19 year old defensive midfielder but he was much in demand.

Farca couldn't afford his bus fare - but will probably be allowed to pull some "financial levers"...

Cheap when you compare what they sold Enzo for.

The Enzo price Chelsea paid was insane even if amortised over a six or was it seven year contract.

We paid £60m for Ederson and Dias from them didn’t we?

Yep, but Neves just had his first season. Father Ruben was their captain, while Eddie had a few years as number 1.
But I recall Eddie was cheaper?
