Especially from the Portuguese league which is a lower standard

We paid £60m for Ederson and Dias from them didn’t we?

Yep, but Neves just had his first season. Father Ruben was their captain, while Eddie had a few years as number 1.
But I recall Eddie was cheaper?

He’s been playing in their first team since 2022 and is a full Portuguese international. €55m is nothing - we paid that for Nunes

Had the impression this was his first season. He was a wonderkid on FM.

It looks like its going to be a season of bleeding more youngsters in - I don't mind having a 'mediocre' season that as long as PeP uses them.

No chance it's going to be mediocre. Pretty sure Bobb will be given a load more minutes meaning we have Grealish, Doku, Bobb and Savio for the 2 wide positions feeding the Viking meaning Silva and Foden will both be in the middle so Rodri, Kova, Kev, Silva, Foden plus Nico O Reilly will probably play some cup games and get a few minutes in the league. There's also McAtee who could stay and who knows if Nunes will improve. Then we have Rico who looks like he can play loads of positions along with last years defence which has loads of options.
If we keep Ederson i think we'll walk it. Can only see Liverpool going backwards after Klopp and the rest other than Arsenal are miles away.

The likes of Oscar, Rico and even O’Reilly have a real chance this season. You’d think that Kevin and Bernardo may be playing their last seasons, maybe Walker too. Time for the youngsters to show they’ve got the right stuff.
