Who's replacing him?

Kolarov everyone’s saying.

Apparently he doesn't want to work beyond 60, Hugo Viana has been lined up.

I'd say 50-50. He's not exceptional, no way. Some dreadful wastes of money.

Give your a head wobble, video it and play it back to yourself... 50 fuckin 50!!

Announcing it next year risks the whole thing getting swept up in the Charges issue. Better to get it out of the way now. Looks like the guy from Lisbon is the replacement. I also think the Pep situation needs to be sorted out asap. If he extends, even by a year, it removes the argument that he’s scuttling out because of the charges.

Gets it out the way? Worked out class for Liverpool announcing Klopp leaving  I’m not sure that’s how businesses are ran - “Fuck it, let’s just get it out the way”….

It’s stupid, especially before the charges are announced. Adds more to the fuel for the media - “Pep must be leaving then” / “they must be guilty if one of their top guys is leaving!” Distractions we don’t need

Pep needs to announce now which will stop all the speculation once and for all. I hope at least a years extension which would kill the argument that he’s scuttling out ahead of the charges decisions stone dead,

He's always announced his extensions previously in the November international break so hopefully he'll do the same again.

Agree. Not only does it shut people up but would give us a huge boost and I could see the likes of Haaland signing extensions off the back of it.

Imagine a month where we fuck the Prem, Haaland and Pep sign extensions

We don't - well I don't - know who makes a final decision on big money signings. He is responsible for every player contract throughout the club, from kids, women, everything. Surely there is a committee (Txiki, Pep, Soriano?) that signs these big signings off?

Pep seems a strong character, opinionated sort of guy to me. "That Phillips guy looks really good for England and Leeds - sign him!"

I can't see we blame Txiki for the few flops

Agreed John.

We have spent less than 4-5 of our rivals over the last 5/6 years yet we have won six of the last seven PL titles and numerous other trophies. No way we have done that on a 50/50 success rate on transfers.

You can never get them all right, it just doesn’t work that way in football. Players don’t settle for whatever reason, there’s a clash in the dressing room, injuries happen, any number of reasons why a transfer doesn’t work out.

That said the DoF isn’t alone in decision making so he can’t take all the credit for the success by the same rule.

Txiki has done an amazing job for us though and we owe him a lot

It's clearly obvious what's going on. Berrada gave Brandon the Kit Man inside information on 115 and he fucked off. Brandon had a word with Txiki telling him what he knows and now he's off. It's snowballing. Who's going to be next? Kaldoon? Pep?

I could never get my head round the spelling of his first name. I much preferred Alistair Mackintosh.

Hugo Viana confirmed as new Director of Football starting in 2025. Don’t know him but he was City’s top target. Currently at Lisbon.

Don't worry mate, the red tops will by 15:00 have all his skeletons out of hidden cupboards e.g. he once shopped at Harrods, so by default best friend of Al Fayed.

They will then proceed to prophetise like they did with KDB about he was a failure last time he was in UK and will flop again......

You guarantee one thing there will not be one positive article about him.
