Why would we doubt that Rodri will recover? He’s only 28. This is the time to support him.

It doesn’t rain but it pours, Kevin out for the Newcastle match and Pep didn’t seem very confident that he’d even be back before the international break. Pep agreed that Kovacic plus Rico or Stones is quite likely to feature as an alternative to Rodri. Double pivot and no Kevin doesn’t scream creativity.

Rico has to play at rb now. Gives us more creativity in the middle and would also allow us to get gundo in there sat behind erling with Phil. I'd also look to move jackie boy in from the wing. Not the worst set of fixtures between now and jan if we could limp through

It is what it is . We'll just have to manage without him and get on with it. Other players have the ability to cover. We shouldn't be shitting ourselves that Rodri isn't playing. Time for Stones, Gundo, Rico, Guardiol, Grealish and Foden to step up. I'm quite relaxed about it.

A big blow for us. After all he is the best in the world in his position and his attributes allow us to play the way we do. But, we are not a one man team. We have enough quality in our squad. Maybe we play slightly differently? Maybe Gundog/Lewis/Stones/Kovacic are able deputies?

Are we not Champions a record breaking four years on the spin and six in seven? We are the best team in the country and possibly the best the country has ever seen. We can and we will overcome this setback. I agree with IB in that we can’t feel sorry for ourselves. We roll up our sleeves, we have a positive outlook and we take each game as it comes.

Which in reality is what we do anyway. We now just need to dig a little deeper, and pull together as a squad and club. Not just for Rodri, but for Ake and Bobb and KDB and the next guy to get an injury. We are Manchester City. The best team in the land

Well have to go 3 at the back (which we have been more or less doing) put Rico in midfield with Kova. That might put too bed the Rico or Walker at right back argument, which was nonsense anyway because Rico is a midfielder.

Arsenal drew at Etihad and cost us at least ten points.

Oscar an Rodders out long term. No back up for Erling. I’m glad we have Gundo back. We need Jack to crack on.

Kdb and Ake our for a sustained period too, our squad is looking quite light looking at todays bench we need everyone to step up.

Why's Carvajal in a leg brace and Rodders not? Is his a more severe injury? Anyone with medical knowledge?
