i thought that the england manager would phone some1 at club and ask about injuries, so walker and grealish would be out of squad as im sure our club would tell them, or maybe not which seems to be the answer, and its so funny not 1 of utd players are picked

Harwood- Bellis gets a call up to the squad. I thought he played well against us the other week and he's now getting recognition, Our defence has been shite for a while, is there an issue with our manager and his backroom staff just not being able to see a recognise defender? or is it because they don't look good playing it out fronm the back?

H-B was brilliant playing it out from the back against us. I was sat 8 rows behind Ramsdale’s goal and everything went through H-B when they were trying to play out. He pinged a ball over to their attacker to start a counter and shouted at Ramsdale and pulled his tongue out as if to say, “what about that mate”.

Is he any worse than Akanji? Probably not. Hes a future captain at whichever club he ends up at.

A lot of our kids that have left could do a backup job for us (not start for us John!!) -

Delap could easily play the cup games to give Haaland a rest
Harwood-Bellis could play instead of Akanji or the kid the other night
Palmer would start over Doku, Savio, Grealish
Lavia would be great backup for Rodri or to switch with Kova
Morgan Rogers - would be great in place of Bern or Gundo at the moment!

Be interested to know when the last time there have been no rag players in an England squad for a competitive match.

Imagine it is years

It’s possible he’ll be released by England after their doctors have assessed him. Has happened before. I’d have thought there should be a conversation beforehand though so that he doesn’t travel. Pep would not leave him out of the squad entirely if he was at all fit. Doesn’t make sense.

I think more importantly Jack has been all over socials celebrating that he’s got a call up. Maybe he needs to open his mouth and say, “I can’t, I’m injured” and all this stops.

As I understand it Clubs have to release players for international duty if they’re called up. City cant say no although Carsley must know City do not agree with the decision in Grealish’s case.

If Grealish isn't getting picked by us because he was/is still not fit enough, our Manager should be ruling him out for England. Fit enough to train doesn't mean fit enough to play. Why is Pep leaving this decision to England Manager and medics. If Jack goes and doesn't rule himself out then i can envisage Pep getting rid as soon as he gets the chance. Has Pep just given up the fight?

Ive just watched his pre match presser and he is fuckign raging , hes dying to say what he really feels about Grealish ( and others ) who always seem to be fucking fit enough to play for England but not fit enough to play for City.

Id fucking drop them and keep them dropped - Grealish had the whole summer off ffs!
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

A longer section of Peps Grealish comments. 17 days no training. Thursday just 20 minutes so no chance today. Significantly he admits to talking to Grealish about the situation and Grealish said he wanted to join the international squad. Pep obviously strongly disagrees. We’ll see how the Pep Grealish relationship plays out now.

Grealish is a fuckin idiot if he’s going against the manager. Genuinely shocked he’d do that. Loved the guy but to do something like that, after we’ve help him win three PL titles and a CL, is absolutely disgusting.

100% with Pep

The club spent £100,000,000 to bring him here, gave him a weekly wage of £300,000, made him part of a squad that won him his only trophies in football and he pisses all over that to join an England squad who dumped him in the summer for a tournament where he should have been an important part of that squad. Rock on Jack.

Grealish has been injured quite often lately, we have players that can do as good if not better than him.
If he's told pep that he wants to go to the England squad then he'll be offloaded, I don't honestly think we've had our money's worth from him, doesn't score enough and a side passer for a majority of his gameplay.
Bon voyage Jack

When Oscar Bob comes back fit, Grealish can fuck off in January or summer.
