Pipe down mongo. You haven't a scoobie.

If you'd had your way pep would have been fired years ago and we would never have become the greatest side the league has ever seen.

So forgive me if I don't take any of your observations or words of advice for how pep can improve seriously.

Jesus Christ how old are you? I'd get more mature observations from my 3 Yr old granddaughter. Not everything Carl posts needs to be childishly attacked. Grow the fuck up

Did you even read what he said ?

I'll answer in kind. It's quite simple. And you cheer the fuck up, you're like wet Monday ffs

Plenty to concern me about my club. I'm not a happy chicken. I do read what is posted and like I said Carl makes some fair points. What I don't need is to plough through endless childish name calling posts, that add to the shit pile I wade though. Seems he's been triggering you for years, you need another tactic. Tell him your dad is bigger than his dad. That might work

No, i don't think that will work mate but I appreciate the advice.

The only problem with your observation is that you pointed out my name calling, as opposed to both because Carl's agenda/side of the argument suits you.

Other than that, completely agree.

Whilst he retaliated to your childish behaviour, it seems to me that you have the biggest problem. Pep is deserving of criticism so in that respect I guess Carl are walking the same side of the street. If you don't like what he posts, ignore it. Don't conflate my comments against your childish behaviour with my viewpoint on Pep. Like I said before, I have enough shit in my life, I don't need to read the childish stuff you initiate on the forum. PS I voted to get rid. 3 reasons
I don't believe his heart is in the job
He doesn't have a clue about managing the situation and although he has won us shitloads of trophies I don't like the way City play, it's slow, boring and predictable. Great teams should be a joy to watch. Most neutrals find us dull. Can't remember an exciting game this season that we won, maybe Sparta Prague, and on that night we should have had 7 or 8.

I can't help feel that the 2 year extension after his succession of year extensions, is a signal that the club recognise that his 1 year extensions are a big part of what's caused this fucking mess of a lack of squad renewal over the last 2 years.

If I'm one of the world's top players, I'm not going to risk my career by joining a club where it is notorious for taking players a year to get upto speed with Pep's system, only for him to then leave and the new manager potentially not fancy me.

He needed to commit to the rebuild and allow players to be attracted with a reasonable expectation of playing a couple of years under the same manager, or he needed to fuck off at the end of this season and let someone else do it. We have our answer on what has been decided, and I'm good with that - he and the club will figure this out.

All that aside, this is one of the wildest thread titles I think I've seen in 16 years on this board

Ok Indiana, I don't want to make your life worse so maybe just use your own logic and ignore my childish posts? Just a thought.

Anyway, fair play for admitting you're one of the five who wants him gone. I can't say I agree that it's been boring for the last few years and I honestly couldn't give a flying fuck what neutral fans think.
Btw I bet what they found boring was that we kept winning, not what they were watching?

Sparty, you're right it's one of the craziest title threads to see on the board

Until you open the thread and see that people genuinely want him gone because of the last 6 weeks.

Well, let's say you 5 get your wish and he's fucked off on Monday after another bad result - who do you want to make us a great team?

I can't believe anyone could think it's been boring prior to this season. Quickest ever manager to get to 1000 goals in just over 400 games which was 150 less than Wenger and nearly 200 less than Fergie who were the only other 2 managers to do it.
We've scored 5s and 6s in Semi Finals, we won the F A Cup Final 6-0. We've scored 3 past RM and BM, we've scored 4 and more goals in games record times.

You know I'm usually with Carl as one of the first with the pitchforks when it comes to managers - in this case while I have serious concerns about how he's got us into this predicament AND concerns about whether he's capable of getting us out of it, for me he's earned the right to a shit season.

Beyond this season, I'll be at the front of the queue with the pitchforks - but I can't see it coming to that - plus, I haven't got a fucking clue who we would hire instead.

In response to your comments about being boring, I honestly think with a few exceptions, we've been fucking awful to watch now for a couple of years and this 'blip' has been coming to us for a long time.

Not sure where you're getting this couple of years from. Treble season we scored 4 past Liverpool, 4 past Arsenal, 6 past united, smashed Real Madrid and Bayern Munich..Last season the 3-3 in Madrid was one of the best games ever. It's been dire this season for sure.

Liverpool hired a relatively unknown manager and they’re flying. We’ll be okay after Pep as well.

I loved the way we played for whole treble winning season mate. Except the final

To be honest, if I didn't enjoy the style of football for a couple of years I'd want the manager gone, regardless of results.

You're right though, let's see how he turns this around. We've had a few different styles through the last few years so maybe the next one will be more like the 100 point season with the flying wingers etc

That's the exception rather than the rule though mate.

Don't get me wrong, we'll be fine but it might not be immediate.

For every Slot, there's a Moyes (every other rag manager since, every other chelsea manager since conte)

I get what you’re saying, but I think we’re different.

Out of the top 3 in the Prem currently - 2 of the managers came from City. We’ll either already have someone internally or we’ll have identified someone. We’ll be fine.

Pep Guardiola asked if #ManCity will spend in January: “I want the players that I have BACK! These players, NOT new ones. In the right moment we will see… Even with our huge revenues that doesn’t mean we have big resources to buy whoever we want…”

Fuck me, hope this are mind games, if not, we are really fucked.

Ultimately it’ll lead to his demise then if he’s too arrogant to think we need to freshen things up.

Also said about.a Rodri replacement, “When I have Kova and Gundo I don’t need a replacement in that position.”

Akanji pretty certainly out for Sunday and he talked about possibly a winger at full back or even five at the back with two wing backs. We only have three defenders available.

He certainly didn’t rule out buying someone in January. I don’t think he’s very reliable about new players coming in anyway. He doesn’t want to undermine the existing squad by suggesting they’re deficient and Txiki is in charge of incomings anyway. I’d be surprised if we don’t try for a DM in January.

The other noteworthy remark was that he’s finally softened on a bigger squad given the increasing schedules.

He was full of praise for the players playing again and again like Haaland and Rico or when not when fit like Akanji and Ake at Bournemouth. Directly linked Ake’s injury to playing when not fully fit.

I already said I wouldn’t give him any money in January as it’s the worst month to buy anyone of note and any available will be well over priced - we might say who cares how much they are but when we see how much has spunked on pure garbage I’d refuse to give him any (maybe they have told him not until the summer , not to piss him off but rather waiting to see how much , if any , any financial penalty we may get over the charges )

In fairness , he has the fucking players to keep us in the top 4.
Sick and tired of hearing it’s the injuries that are to blame for our shit performances when the main reason is the manager putting out shite starting 11’s.
