Agree but why arent we trying to build the right blocks? Defensive midfield first, second full back?

The skinny kid brazilian will take an age if hes to be our next right back.

We are doing nothing to address the real problems in the squad.

Pep to rebuild. Sit back relax. We’ve had a blast, this squad has been amazing, but sadly last night when it’s put on us we get found out. We will beat Bruges, we all know that’s just another game before we get found out again. 4 in a row, LEGENDS.

Dont disagree in the main. Looking at this weeks' recruitment, we are clearly looking to the future. That said, it will be inexcusable and gross negligence if we do not source a Rodri backup / replacement / playing style plan b in the summer . It looks like we've put that off til summer which may see us miss out on chumps league this season

There are some entitled fans on here, some right wet wipes, of course we all moan about bad games bad transfers and bad subs, but what about what we have won, league cups ( 4 in a row) fa cups champions league super cup club champions cup and of course 6 premiership titles and some on here think it's not enough, either those fans are new fans or just started to support city i don't know, but I do know they are moaning fuckers, WE CAN NOT WIN EVERY YEAR we will get it right with signing now and summer,

Don't think it's entitled in the main. I'm not entitled but its plain to see that regardless of the unparalleled success that we've witnessed, we've collectively, as a club, dropped a bollock over the summer in not recruiting. Said it in an earlier post but I don't expect the hierarchy to make that same mistake again. Nothing wrong in calling it out - every successful organisation does it. We are going to limp through this season and I'm ok with that providing we've learnt the lessons and we come back stronger

This all day. To be fair, the consensus is more about the lack of recruitment last summer, the Rodri injury didn’t help, but the squad was left very small & exposed to further injuries. Add to that some really weird team selections & that leads to the collective frustration of some posters on here, all in all the perfect shit storm. The club seem to have recognized this, so as Salford says we limp through this season, regroup & go again.

Over 55 yrs following City and fully accept losing its part of sport, but the manner in which we are losing and repeatedly for the same things is not acceptable no matter what we have won. Pep can shit gold bricks but I'd still criticise some of the stuff he's doing. And lets be honest some of our players need a rocket up their arse

Stick your neck back in ffs !! Some of us were supporting this team when we were beyond fucking shit and I’m one of them fans so I’m more than entitled to voice my opinion on pep’s absolute MORONIC decisions he’s made all season long !!

He’s even admitted he’s been shit ffs !!!

In business you don’t cling on to last years success and simply ignore the fucked up current year you are having - you adapt and if you cannot you will feel the full brunt of displeasure from your shareholders / owners / etc etc - in our case of supporting a football club it’s the fans who will voice their anger —- this season isn’t about losing games , it’s about pep’s fucking ANAL decision not to sign anyone in the summer and his ANAL decisions on playing consistently shit performing players like Walker and Gundo and that useless cunt Nunes .

Stop living on past glories ffs !! the world moves on and I’ll be fucked if I ever need reminding to mind my industrial language at over paid managers and players shit performances .

Yep well said Carl.
It might be at odds with some of his performances but I think Nunes isn't a bad player but he needs to be played in his natural position and given a fair stab at it. Particularly as we have invested mega bucks getting him. Same can be said of Gvardiol, who has impressed despite being slung in at LB. A guy who we have really ruined is Grealish. Thought he would have been superb for us but he has been shackled and restrained by our rigid style of play.
Perversely Akanji who cost nothing and is an average journeyman destined to make up squad numbers
has been given untold starts and chances. I've only liked Akanji in a couple of games and that was when he played at LB and linked up well with Grealish. PEP obviously doesn't see what I see

I don’t think anyone is asking us to smash teams every year and win the league.

I think fans accept sometimes we won’t win the club, for me personally I absolutely dread watching us at the moment. There was zero expectation in the 90s 2000s. Now we’re 3-0 up in the 80th minute and we can relax - it’s unbearable.

If we were losing to teams better than us then I think most would accept it. We lost last night because a team ran more than us. That’s unacceptable

It was always pep’s mission in his footballing life as a manager to get his players to play in multiple positions-he gets so many accolades when he improves some players but I honestly think he ruins some players by paying them in unnatural position's and that gets swept under the carpet as if it never happened.

You can't take it can you when fans support the most successful manager in the history of the game and however you try to spin it far more fans think like us than like you with your irrational hatred of him.
Why with your business analogy did you slag him off constantly last season and the season before and so on when we were winning everything.
Why with your business analogy do you mention his salary every other post when in any PLC the main man will earn a fortune.
He didn't start Walker and Gundo last night did he., he actually put Silva in for Gundo from Sunday's 11 but that's another story. For some reason you can't criticise him even though he's been every bit as bad this season. He's Pep's blind spot in my opinion- see i don't think he's perfect.
Who knows about the summer signings, maybe they didn't want to act with the case against us about to start. It hopefully looks like the powers that be are confident of a minor punishment at most now. If we qualify for the CL at the end of the season and regroup i'm sure we'll be back to how we have been the last 8 years.

See if you feel the same way when we don't qualify for Europe because our Manager lost the plot.

I am all for a bit of loyalty to the Man who has overseen this era of unparalleled success,

We have gaping holes in Midfield because of his neglect. We need additions in this area right now just to try and finish Top 4.

Pep answer is to spunk £200 million on defenders for the future......seriously what the actual fuck is this about.

I am certain It is all going to end in Tears for us and the Club because of misplaced loyalty.

The end of this season we will be finishing the lowest we have ever finished since the take over. It will cost us the annual £25 ,000 000 Pep Wages + a minimum £100 000 000 in Champions League revenue + Prem prize money + we will have fuck all for the New Guy to spend as Pep sits there working his Ticket for the final 12 months of his contract with no European football.

This misplaced loyalty is going to put us back 10 years, you wait and see,

He badly needs to be removed from the situation for the good of his mental health and the good of the Club. His bizarre behaviour, his non existent game management. His ridiculous substitutions that cause us to capitulate.

The Wheels are coming off, it is clear to anyone with a Brain to see. There is no signs of improvement. And i am not expecting anything other than chastening heavy defeats to the sides we play in the coming weeks. We play and are managed like Naive School Kids. 2-0 in Paris and still we play the stupid high line incapable of protecting what we have. Zero game management, and it is every week against anything other than shit bottom side teams. He is anything other than an Elite Manager right now. I would literally take mostly any other manager to try and steady the ship.Try and get what he can out of players with limitations who are old and slow. Instead of some Mad scientist carrying on regardless of the Squad limitations because of age. Teams walk through us, Pep answer we need more defenders.    Maybe stick 10 of them on the Goal line after they walk through the Middle.
