I like the fact the club are taking action, the competition for places must have an impact. I get the impression that some complacency has been creeping in. These signings have to be a good thing

I dont remember Dave Silva having great English, if much at all, then there was Sergio. Think someone else, I cant remember.
Yaya he had English, but nobody had a clue what he was saying

Those who didn't talk english like Dave, Serge etc, they had spanish talking players around, so it was much easier. Half of our dressing room speaks portuguese now.
For a young kid, so raw, with no one to talk too, it will be difficult.

It will be a huge case for the top figures of our dressing room to step up and help him because he is going to need it big time. But it all comes down to him.

Nice touch from City having fellow Brazilian Fernandinho on hand to welcome Reis.

Im sure he will be able to follow simple instructions in training very quickly. Its important, though, that he doesn’t feel isolated so he needs to pick up some english asap. Im sure he will. I think I read he was accompanied by his two agents so hes not completely on his own. The Club will bend over backwards to help him settle in.

If he speaks 3 languages I don't think he'll have a problem with a fourth!

I think you are all doing Abdukodir a disservice.

He can not speak English , however ,i bet he will speak good English within a few years.

Whether that is with a Manc dialect , awaits to be seen. He has sod all to do after training and playing, so why not read Wide range reader books ?

Those 5 minutes mean literally nothing. If he continues with the right attitude/work ethics & gets the support from teammates/fans he could literally become one of the best CBs in few years. Remember Rodri's first season?

Agree.
However the language will be a big-big problem.
He’s young, alone, doesn’t speak (and maybe does not understand the language) and has fuckall experience. Comes from a football that has no history in players.

It will be a huge task in front of him.
I will be surprised if he makes it. I hope he does, of course.
