Proper blue.

I met him a couple of times back in the day, both times away at Palace.

Wasn't he part of a Westminster supporters club or am I making that up? A decent bloke and was always known to be a blue. RIP

Top guy, he actually interviewed me in Hyde many years ago, it was during the Shipman murder investigation & my paternal Grandparents were victims. Professional as it gets . RIP John

I'd forgotten he was a blue. From the days when our celebrity supporters were rather limited

Rick Wakeman (now defected), Eddie Large, Bernard Manning, Gallaghers, Johnny Marr, Howard Davies Warren Clarke and and and.......

RIP John

How can I forget Curly? He sat in the row in front of us and about 3 to the left in the top tier, new Kippax.

Until the boxes above were completed then he must've fucked off up there.

Probably can't afford a ticket now

I sat next to John at Watford away. The Ben Foster pass to Darius game. He was a gentleman. Very engaging with my two. Olivia’s first ever away game. She has never forgot about it. RIP John.

Yep, a very nice guy. As I said, I met him twice, both away at Palace, and agree, a total gent.

Was that Watford game a 1-1 draw with Darius getting our goal or is my memory lying to me again?

Good lord, that long ago. I couldn't get a ticket, but my brother's a Watford season ticket holder and I ended up in with him and his mates.

I remember the game being a bit dire and having a bit of a laugh with the guys I was with and I consequently missed our goal, which is why the Ben Foster pass didn't ring a bell.

England’s No 1. Olivia was 7. It’s scary how fast the time goes.

Not living in the U.K. I only knew him from The Man City Show podcast and he always sounded like a true blue and a good observer and analyst of the game. RIP and he will be missed.
