I love Vinny, but can someone explain to me how?
Did fuck all at Anderlecht, bounced Burnley up and down from the Championship and somehow he gets the Bayern job? Now he's in the frame for the City job?

He "somehow" got the Bayern job, who are a bigger club than City.

Bayern somehow made a good choice. Perhaps at Anderlecht and Burnley he didn't have the players at his disposal and did as well as any manager would; perhaps even Pep or Klopp would have fared no better. Perhaps the lack of competition in Germany made his job easier and he has merely achieved what any manager could have done and has done barring the odd anomaly.
Would City have given Vinnie the job at the time Bayern did if we were looking for a manager? Would we have been happy to see them give him the job given his situation at the time? I think no and no.
Vinnie will be the City manager one day. I think he'd be crazy to leave Bayern mid-project and try and fill Pep's shoes.

Do you think after dropping the title for the first time in 8 years they just went fuck it, throw the baby out with the bathwater and we may as well take a punt?
Honestly I don't get it, I was hoping someone could provide me with some insights here.

I think the next City manager will be Xavi, his leaving PSG and Barca under Flick doing well both domestically and in Europe means they probably won't be replacing in the summer. Unless Chelsea sack their manager again and then it could prove interesting.

He may go although I must say the alternatives don't really inspire.

I think "some fans" are more likely to be influenced by the turgid football we've had to endure in recent times. Don't think many, if any, City fans would be influenced by the media cartel
