Embarrassing
Has any other religious community in manchester also contacted the BBC so far about Peps comments ? It seems a most unfortunate issue that pep has raised, i would expect him to have come into critisism from many communities.
I would have thought senior management at the club would be speaking to Pep about his activism, at the minimum he is bringing the club’s name into disrepute, from an HR standpoint he should be given a final written warning & told to do the job he is being handsomely rewarded. If he is not happy with that he should leave immediately.
Surely Pep is a contractor eh ? Not really an employee with a job for life , he has to keep renewing his contracts. So i guess no hr gets involved when he may get sacked, rather a case of contract payoff. Not the same as employees , no ?
My wife used to be a director of HR, i asked her the question you posed, she said - It is totally irrelevant whether you are employed directly or contractually if it’s agreed your behaviour leads to the companies image being held in disrepute. That can include bad publicity and/or other organisations within the community objecting to such behaviour.
Clearly Pep is guilty of bringing the organisation/club into disrepute via negative publicity & the local Jewish community leaders objecting to such behaviour publicly.
I hope that clarifies

For example , here a contractor is not treated like an employee and contracts can be terminated without thought on the whim of the manager( who can be fined by the government if he screws up work visas and not the company) . Interesting that pep is considered an employee, i guess he will get a uk pension too.

It would be if he was a representative of a company/organisation i pay into or have allegiance towards
Is that how you live your life. Do you research organisations and the key people who work there and what their beliefs are before you do business with them? Buy groceries, donate funds, buy clothes, apply for a job, invest?
Must be very intense
I live by a moral code of ethics honed by my education, my upbringing and life experience. I expect a certain degree of decorum and behaviour from either my work colleagues , superiors or employees ( when i was working ) and from people/businesses i associate with in my personal life.
Of course i do research and educate myself ( or try to) on what is happening around me. It's stood me in good stead over the years . I 've had a good career, i'm happily retired and fairly comfortable. My dad used to tell me that a fool and his money are soon parted . Sounds like you are one of the fools he was talking about .
My life is good but i do find i use the word TOSSER .
Interesting how you came about that summation on purely a few posts on an internet football forum. Maybe says more about you and your moral code than anything else.

Your choice but a foolish option. Also you raised le Tissier, another ex footballer with an opinion but this time right of centre in terms of politics. So i guess your riposte was some sort of left wing riposte.-irrelevant to my argument. As you seem to think everythingvis rosy with Pep and the club, i'll stick to my first opinion of yourself

You do have a very strange view on your interpretation on the written word. I get the dancer bit though, that's when the fun starts.

A very significant amount Catalan citizens i would think are socialists pushing for independence, as are people of the Basque region. These areas whole heartedly support Palestine/Gaza struggles . Doesn't surprise me at all. Doubt he would ever manage Maccabi
