Do you still enjoy our football?

For me is pure torture. Lately, win or lose.

I always watch every minute of every game. I don’t like what I’ve seen the last 18 months but I still get excited.

I can't get to many matches nowadays for various reasons and have been going since the mid 80s and the only indictment I can give is that my daughter and I attended the FA cup match vs Salford and for the first time in my life we left early because the match was absolutely dire and we felt drained watching it.

I don't know if it is just City though. Ruud Gullit made an excellent point regarding the state of the Premier League this season with it becoming a massive turn off. It is just bizarre and criminal though how far our standards have dropped with some of the dross coming in to the team over the last few seasons though.

i try to watch all our games live. The last 2 seasons i have tried to find reasons to avoid them , either search for a good film. play pickleball with my wife, go out for a pint etc etc. The reason is i am bored with Pep's football , i find death by possession very boring to watch. Pep's coaching manaual has been read by everyone, and most semi competent coaches can set up an average team to defend against it.

The style of play does not suit Haaland . He falls asleep waiting for a cross to get to him .

When we have look good, the opposition have had a higher percentage of the ball - an open game suits our skills and pace. When teams stack their defence and we have control, we have not learned that it is better to shoot more , cross quicker and take a chance rather than endlessly passing to find a perfect opening .

Watching us play boring unimaginative football, put out by an arrogant manager , poor in game management and a complete inability to hold onto a win . or draw is making me a very angry person. My mood darkens to the point where i wonder if it seriously damaging my health.

I felt great today after playing 18 holes, scoring well and having a great laugh amongst mates, tonight i just feel shit .

I've spent 50 odd years watching City , i've experienced looks of losses and fuck ups , but now they are predictable fuck ups. We see week in week out how it is going to happen and what annoys me is that we have a manager in charge that has done nothing to correct it .

Its dire and predictable...has been like this, more often than not , for longer than I can remember - when you have a manager who still insists he'll "never change" his beliefs even though the game has evolved beyond his shite rigid positional play you know you are fucked.

Cannot wait for him to fuck off as I'm bored to tears watching it.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

No.

I can't get to Wednesday games at the moment because of work and I'm happy not to have to make the trip.

The only weekend game I have missed is the derby and I was happy not to go.

Recently when we had that run of 3pm Saturdays I was looking for excuses.

There's just no entertainment at the moment and that is primarily why I go.

Even at our worst in the 90s it was entertaining. Now it's almost as bad as Pearce.

This is it.

Id still watch us if Kier Starmer was managing us, but am I excited to watch us? Not really. I know it'll be sideways, backwards for most of the game with little penetration and shite subs.

The question is….”are you still excited to see us play ?”
My answer to that is yes. Am I excited by what I see ?
A resounding NO. Many people on here say that they switch it off or can’t be bothered…I’m not one of them, I watch all the games. Maybe the question needs to be rephrased.

Followed City for 50 years through thick and thin. Live a long way away but get to a few games. I watch all City games but do not enjoy our current style of play. In fact City are the only matches I watch, VAR and refereeing has ruined it for me. No longer watch MOD. I believe we have the attack minded flair players to excite us and play stylish football but Pep is restricting us. The Prem is poor standerd this year, we could have won it with a better style of play and scored a lot of goals.
