Always sounded like a great initiative to me, was baffled by all the negativity online about them. Granted though it's usually those that haven't looked into the proper details and complain about everything that are the most vocal.
The proof is in the pudding and 35,000 fans attending a match at the Etihad last time out and the continuation of empty seats sort of disproves the point it's a good idea, like a lot of the great ideas the city board have had they have fallen flat.
Saying it's working and that "People haven't looked into it" is a pretty stupid thing to say when the proof is actual bums on seats or in this case a lack of them, disenfranchised fans showing their dissatisfaction and happy clappy tourists feeling all pissy about them doing it.
Surely though the flexi-gold, like all season tickets, is only league games? The 35K attendance was in the Champions League, followed by 42K in the league cup.
