How do you think he did? Was he playing well or was I dreaming?

I was amazed when he was replaced he saved us twice in the game from really good positions from Sunderland.

Since Bob came Micah has been getting back to the player we knew he was.
I feel safe with Micah at RB. The only thing I'd change in our defence is our LB in the summer.

I thought he was average tbh. He did find space going forward, mainly because Sunderland made sure our wingers didn't get any space with the ball. Swp was constantly outnumbered so it felt natural that there would be space available for the full back. Once in those positions, the quality of delivery left a lot to be desired though.

My problem with Micah is mainly the defensive part. For example when a long cross is played out towards Malbranque, his starting position is good, he's moved quite far into the middle like you should when playing zonal marking. If the cross is good quality it's not possible to cut it out but then as a defender your aim has to be to get as close to the winger as possible before he can control the ball, 9 times out of ten Micah stops 3-4 yards short and waits for the winger to control the ball and comfortably make the next step whether that is to run at Micah or pick a pass. Not sure if it's because of over-belief in his one-on-one ability, lack of confidence or fear of having to foul the winger (when already on a yellow)

Also, I think Malbranque showed how effective it can be to have an inside out winger. Just as much as he wants the ball on his right foot, Micah, being a right footed full-back, is most comfortable tackling/ intercepting with his right foot. Almost everytime Malbranque cut inside and Micah rarely got a tackle in

Those who blame him for the first goal have got in wrong.IMo. From the tele, anyway. Micah showed Malbranque the outside. Malbranque cut back as we know he does and our very own Mr Mad Zab, instead of saying thank you very much, missed his tackle by a couple of lifetimes, as he is wont to do. Our dark destroyer, Nige, was at that point trotting back to the penalty area rehearsin his next pre match"I cant wait to get stuck in to ....." speech, but saw no need for doing someone elses job thank you very much, and the result was a goal.Been happening a bit too much for my liking.Malbranque was never seen again, and Micah got up the wing well and often in the absence of anything resembling a contribution from Shaun, who apparently loves City so much, he is willing to spend the rest of his career with us.Very generous.

Your right about Zabba. Its also a shame Lescott wasnt marking Jones for the goal instead of Kompany.
