You have made your point. Again and again and again. We all know your opinion on Pep and his political beliefs. I have asked you to keep it off the football board please.

Okay, fair enough, but can’t you understand how hurtful it is for the manager of the club you have supported since 1964 to come out with support for scum that have caused such misery in Manchester. I sent you a private message which you choose not to reply to explaining my position on Pep’s outrageous behaviour. All I can say is I bury my opinions on him, however I count the days when this Champagne elitist go back to where he comes from,

Just looking at the message board & there is no record of the message, so god knows what I have done. Basically the message was my apologies for breaking the rules, but addressing my concerns at the managers behaviour, which I thought brought the clubs name into disrepute, also that if I was an executive at the club I would be having words with the manager about travelling in work time to another country to vent his political views.
That effectively is my message to you.

I agree there’s another section of the forum dedicated to politics. But what if he (Guardiola) does something similar again in the near future?

Should we just brush it aside and pretend nothing happened?

Don't want to speak in Harry's name, but people were upset mainly because he used his City time to talk politics.

Imo PP what pep does on his days off are nothing to do with football. By all means discuss it on the other forum .

I disagree with that, what he does on his days off that involve him being in front of the world’s media, and everyone who sees it thinks Man City, that’s a problem for our club in my eyes. Whether you agree with his stance or not, he should know better than to bring our club into disrepute. What he’s doing, either knowingly or not, is dividing our fans which is evident on this forum.

We all have our political views and when the manager of our football club expresses his, he is by default alienating a significant proportion of the fan base that should be supporting him. If that outcome isn’t football then I suggest you have a major rethink. It may not be in the pitch, but it’s most certainly on the terraces. I have been very critical of Pep’s management over the last 18 months and I personally have no desire for him to stay, I want him gone and he can take his collection of political scarves with him….the only one he should be wearing is blue and white.

Just come across this beauty.

"In this room someone bet on us we’re going to come back? No one. No way. No one in history has ever come back from 3-0 against Real Madrid in the Champions League knock-out stages. Never, ever.”

Pep Guardiola.

What the actual fuck ?

His excuse for not playing Cherki.

Pep says that the period when we had Haaland, Cherki, and Doku all starting together in the team. Was the period when the team was unbalanced ?.
Yet that was the best part of our season where we won 9 out of 10 games. Seriously what the actual fuck.

Are we missing something here Sparkle ? is WW saying there are other "Closed to Public" forums where such non football topics can be discussed or isn't he ?

If the answer is yes he is then why labour the point on the Forum intended only for football related topics ?

Well that is the problem.
Agree, same here. I couldn’t care less what he does in his spare time. The forum didn’t necessarily blow up because of that aspect. What annoyed people, myself included, was that it happened during a City press conference, on the club’s time, not his own.

Hence the whole discussion.
So ask again, if he does it again, on club's time, should we ignore it?

I really don't see the point in going over the same issue and labouring the point. Keep politics off the football forum. I don't care what pep does in his press conference. It's very simple. Football here, use the other forum for the other stuff.

Hi Zuricity. I am happy to post political stuff on other threads on this forum and I have. What you're missing is that I'm trying to say that his political rants are part of football....and ultimately it is a football issue, because he is dividing the fans and the fans are the club, without them City don't exist, and that's all besides his tactical decisions which have come under a very bright spotlight in recent months. If he's representing Man City on the World stage wearing a keffiyeh and supporting terrorists, I feel that these actions warrant being discussed in football terms and given that this particular topic is whether fans think he should go, I believe its a valid reason to want him to. Is there another manager in football that does this ?

My rants are not passive, my fiancee is Jewish and thus my two boys are jewish and I have a niece and nephew in Jerusalem, so and I'm sure you can understand why I get incensed when the manager of our club is supporting those that would happily kill my family and have done to other Jews in Manchester !!!. However, as a matter of respect to this forum which I enjoy very much, I will not post anything more on this politically divisive topic on here.

You could have put all this information in a new topic on the closed forum. Instead of prolonging this one - on an open football forum. Surely that is not too difficult to ask , is it? I think that is what WW is trying to point out, perhaps i am wrong.

Fwiw I think what WW is trying to say is the following : everyone on here has one thing in common, which is we support Man City and obviously want them to be the best they can be.

That does not mean we all think similarly on other topics, be that world politics or whether pineapple should be on pizza, etc. WW’s ask is that we talk about other stuff elsewhere and only chat about our collective passion of Man City on here.

I think that’s very reasonable…
