I have a feeling he announces he's staying. I think he wants one more year.

New hotel , increased capacity. Inspite of winning two cups and being a positive season . Someone like Maresca certainly would not impress any extra fans to be drawn to the stadium. Perhaps Pep knows this and an improved offer might come in ? Although i doubt it.

Something needs to happen to get the extra 6000 bums on seats.

Agreed. No way Maresca pulls those extra fans in. We live in hope.

Big Fat Sam ?

I would genuinely take BFS over Maresca. Neither would be any good but at least BFS would be entertaining

If he is staying i Hope he fucks off Rodri. It is already embarassing.
He can simply end the speculation.

Yes, he'd fill the majority of those extra seats. Add in Rooney as his assistant and we're back at capacity!!

Why wouldn't he want one more year? He almost did a treble and we were terrible for half the season. This squad is in an upward trajectory again now

I think he really likes a few of the new lads. He has seemed rejuvenated this second half of the season.

Deffo has a thing for Savinho

Joking aside , their is a lot to be positive about recent incoming players and I think just a couple or 3 this summer could see us really kick on.

There are/ ways of looking at the Maresca situation. The better way is to look at the positives, which include the rumour that he was responsible for the double pivot/Stones as DM in the treble season as well as over performing Chelsea team and winning a couple of pots. Not bad for someone with no experience.

One things for sure, he’ll fail if we don’t get behind him. We are not going to be a Man Utd manager carnival. Kompany, I highly doubt is available, the timing might not work out well for another 2 or 3 seasons.

I’d have taken Alonso, Pep influenced & Catalan brotherhood but that ship has sailed. Maybe there was something in him moving to City and Chelsea decided to move the earth to piss us off just a tiny bit?
