Chievo is short for Chievo Verona. The president of Hellas said that the day that Chievo make the Serie A donkeys will fly. The first Verona derby in Serie A had the yellow section of the crowd waving donkeys with wings. Chievo stayed up that season inspired by goals from a certain Bernardo Corradi, Hellas went down.
Errrr.....ok. I'm none the wiser as why Chievo "is the team".
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
