Will you still enjoy football after this?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Will you still enjoy football after this?

Postby PeterParker » Sat Oct 10, 2026 2:39 pm

Can you still enjoy football the same way after all of this? When everything is finally settled, will you still be able to look forward to a match, savour the anticipation, enjoy the football and celebrate a goal, knowing that some people would rather see our club destroyed than see it compete?
The last two weeks have shown us that this goes far beyond football, beyond financial regulations and beyond the verdict itself. It has exposed something much uglier about the game and the people who claim to love it.

What do you reckon?
Ctid, will support the club even if we end up play week in and out Lidl’s all stars, but football changed forever for me.

I believe in the old saying “even this will pass” might take time but normality will prevail. That said there will be the usual mindless morons on miseryside who do not have the brains to forget anything that they perceive to be victims of.
Those knuckle draggers apart everything will return to normal eventually. Could be years but it will,

When it's settled yes. But at the moment I'm giving the whole corrupt PL shower a wide berth. Except for wondering why Carragher still has a platform for his bile, after spitting on a 15 year old girl. Should never be.

I'll watch tomorrow of course

That is the whole thing for me, to be honest.
They were rivals. This time they showed us their true colours.

I find it close to impossible to see them like that at the moment. Not when they want us extinct.

Carragher should have been banned sine die for that disgusting spitting on the girl. He must think if he can get away with that then he can do what he wants, horrible excuse for a human.
It will take time before we all feel the same again.

Could be worse, we could still be watching Pep's sideways stuff.

Which each passing year – regardless of the whole 115 saga – I find myself spending more and more time on the golf course and less and less watching footy. I guess I'm substituting one addiction for another. Football as a whole just don't do it for me anymore. Trying to cut down drinking as well, so fully expect to be single hcp by this time next year :-)

First time I can remember that I don't really care to watch any other PL team besides City. Feels like we've broken through the fourth wall and now see the PL and cartel teams for exactly what they are. Anticompetitive and antifoolball frauds, where even watching them lose doesn't even mean much at the moment to me. Talk of stripping away titles and handing it years later to teams who lost on the field makes a lot of it all just feel meaningless.

Will never miss a City game but have also never despised the other big teams and their fans more.

The thing is let’s not assume all the other teams & their fans will be thinking about City 24/7 because they have their own games to play, if they get obsessed with City it could be at their own expense.

Not watched a game that doesn’t feature City for two seasons or more now.

VAR and corruption within PIGMOL and the PL finally did it for me. And this blatant assault on us means the nail will never be removed from football’s coffin for me. If we aren’t playing I doubt I will ever be watching again. And I would in the past have watched almost any game

My love for City remains but my love of football in the wider sense has gone

Of course I will, even more. Am I not the most confrontational dick in town, after all?

The time frame of the end of the pure , clean passion for football in itself lasts when the greed changed the European Cup with the corrupt weirdo called Champions league.
But football, although more similar to a ruthless industry, is still one of the most entertaining thing , along with rugby and alpine ski, to.me.

And the sympathy that my grandad instilled me, by taking to my first flight to watch Buzzer and Nijinsky, has grown into a tantalising passion for the fair tale of a unique Club, fallen from grace through mismanagement and returned to where it belongs, thanks to Taksin and Mansour.

And, God forbid me, the weird part of me would love the unthinkable to happen, just to show Carl that I am genuine :P

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

I still love them game, loved playing it when I was younger, love watching good football.
But all the shit surrounding the game now has destroyed it for me.
Its like a pantomime.
Ill always watch ciry games, but the rest of them are mostly cunts and they can fuck right off.
