Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Best time ever to be a City fan. We cleaned up on the pitch — now we take the biggest trophy off it.
They enforce the Fit and Proper Persons Test on every new owner. Time to turn it on the Premier League masters themselves. They wouldn’t pass it. Not even fucking close.
Get them out. Bring in a new organisation.

The teams that were previously not allowed to compete with the red cartel can thank us later.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

Interesting article Hypocrisy Rules

It smacked of sheer hypocrisy from Liverpool fans at Anfield as they were hammered 3-0 by Manchester City, those fans in red suffering a collective amnesia that ignores the foundations their success is built on.

This moral superiority relies on the myth that Liverpool’s status as a global powerhouse was achieved purely through organic growth and romanticism.

In reality, Liverpool FC’s emergence as a titan of the game is deeply rooted in the exact thing their fans were condemning on Sunday; an immense, transformative injection of private capital from wealthy benefactors.

The blueprint was arguably first drawn in the late 19th century by John Houlding, who founded Liverpool after a bitter dispute with Everton over the rent this unscrupulous Victorian businessman was charging for the blues to play at Anfield.

Left with an empty stadium when Everton voted with their feet and moved across Stanley Park, Houlding used his financial muscle to recruit a bunch of highly paid Scottish mercenaries, winning the Football League just a decade later.

In the late 1950s, with Liverpool languishing in the second tier, the Moores family, using the riches of their massive Littlewoods football pools empire, took a definitive stake in the club.
They provided unparalleled financial backing to Liverpool Football Club.

That cash took them from a struggling club going nowhere, to one that that would very quickly be promoted AND winning top tier titles.

That money, over and above what they brought in from normal revenues, allowed them to buy countless players they otherwise could never have been able to afford.

There is no doubt that this money was key for Liverpool when it came to their huge success, a legacy that continues to this day and is directly linked to those unparalleled fortunes that were put into the Anfield club, to create the foundations of the hugely powerful position they occupy today.

In just the last 16 months, as well as numerous other expensive players, Liverpool fans have seen more than half a billion committed on just five players (Isak £125m, Barcola £123m, Jacquet £60m, Wirtz £116.5m, Ekitike £79m).

So when Liverpool fans pointed the finger on Sunday, it beggars belief.

Interestingly, a poll ran by The Mag ahead of this Anfield match showed an overwhelming desire amongst the Newcastle United fans voting to see Manchester City win at Anfield despite their cheating antics, which I think tells you all you need to know.
I wish there was a way to know you are in the good old days....before you've actually left them...

Have had a listen to Talkshite in the car today. I can categorically say that the tears haven't stopped.

Some intersting comments on 5 Live phone in with Nicky Campbell. City represented himself and our case very well. Backed up by an educated Evertonian.

Grimsby fan just relied on the fact we broke rules but also felt that the rules are wrong,

Best part of our win yesterday is how much it has rattled all of the worst people. Slippy G saying that he "feels sorry for the memories that City stole from him"

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha fuck off

Maybe had you not lost a 3-0 lead to Palace and slipped to give Chelsea a goal right after yelling "we will not let this slip" you'd have a league. But you're a mentally weak twat, don't deserve to be 1000 yards near a league title

These glorious days may not last so I intend to get the most out of them while I can. The utter cretinous nature of certain clubs' fans is a constant source of amusement. The naked hypocrisy makes me snigger. I chuckle at their choreographed "venomous hatred". I guffaw at their childish demands for vengeance NOW and guardian-readeresque, self-righteous pomposity. I drink the tears of morons with platforms. I chortle at ferret-face who now realises he is going to get proper filled in by City fans and cries off our matches, the utter fucking coward.

I fucking hate liverpool fans but then so does everybody else.

I want to see their tears when we win the league again.

UP THE FUCKING BLUES.

Also doesn't understand the English language. Unless you are senile, memories are of things that happened in the past. He never won the league so at best City "stole" his unattainable fantasies

also have to laugh again seeing this clip from a few years ago https://www.youtube.com/shorts/32OWpJj5Dec

This situation we find ourselves in could have huge implications for the football pyramid as we know it

Everton’s owners are already looking to sell up barely two years after taking over. Presumably they now realise they are never going to be able to dine at the top table. No doubt other owners will look at this with a keen eye. Already Villa and Newcastle have broken into the CL but have had to sell to meet financial targets, so their longer term participation is severely at risk. Forest too made Europe but had to sell. All have owners with deep pockets but can’t spend it. How long before they get fed up?

And this will filter down the leagues. Championship and League 1/2 owners will be now realising how limited their financial input can be and there will undoubtedly be owners who are looking to get out. Both Sheffield clubs have fell foul of this. Leicester, Wolves, Cardiff. The list goes on.

Our pyramid as we know it may well look very different in a few years

In Italy we have an old say that goes "the mother of idiots is always pregnant".
This mom must have had a 11 months pregnancy, to give birth to such a dumbass.

BBC getting more and more obnoxiously obsessed by the day.
Just saw a YT podcast hosted by a certain Peston cunt hosting Greg Dyke all guns blazing.
I mean not only the current BBC boys, the retired too!
