Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I got ESPN a few weeks ago and I've been watching a lot of the Bundesliga highlights. One player who's really caught my eye is Stefan Kiessling at Leverkusen. He does a lot of work around the box with his back to goal and then always seems to get in behind the defence when there's a whiff of a chance. From what I've seen, he reminds me of a sort of Van Nistlehorse-Klinsmann hybrid. Are there any dedicated followers of German football who can tell us how good this guy actually is? Has he got all the right attributes to be a star in the Premier League?

Do you mean Kiessling?
Good player, not sure if he'd make it in the Prem though. He'd be the next Samaras if we sign him, if anyone else signs him he'll be a star.

Tarnat and Hamman were quite good tho

Kiessling yeah that's him. Oops. Title edited.
I think he's got a bit more presence and nouse than samaras and he also looks like a bit of a fox-in-the-box. Did Samaras EVER score a tap-in for us? The few goal he did score that I can recall were all pretty nice.

New contracts mean nothing other than an inflated transfer fee. What can you tell us about this fella? Is he the real deal or a flash-in-the-pan, one-season wonder? He's still pretty young isn't he? 25 or 26 I think.
