that's the thing, he has all the basic attributes to be really top player. The one's that are hardest to teach.
It's funny though, I remember seeing him as teenager for Anderlecht and he stood out even back then. I actually expected him to be one of the best in the world by now, so technically he is little behind in his development for me!!
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I posted a few weeks back, after the Chelsea slaughter, that we had 4 top class playes, VK being one. IIRC, I got a mixed response. I stand by what I said then, VK is top class. He will improve more as he ages and will be one of the best CBs in the owrld, imo. Captain next season? Obviously!

He looked brilliant then. Chelsea and the Scum were sniffing for a year or so before his injuries and before he went to Hamburg.

Fact is, we are better defensively with Vinny in there than without him.

It has to be. Kompany will be a
top top player no doubt about it.
I always wonder if people are being serious or taking the piss with the old Jamie/Twitchy Redknapp "top, top player" assessment
