Despite being Brazilian, his playing style of more of Northern Britain. He has played as left back as well for Brazilian national side on couple of games I'v seen so he'd provide great cover there or would release Lescott to play as leftback (where I think he'd be excellent).

you cant be serious mate NORTH BRITAIN .this guy start doing tricks with the ball when the strikers are howling at his feet with no pretty reason to do so , a british defender will just pass the ball around n play a no nonsense game at the back.yaeah but this guy has lot of pace and never thinks before getting into risky tackles

That's certainly NOT how he has played when I've seen him for Benfica or Brazil but I'm not going to question you as I have no idea how much you've seen of him and can't claim to support Benfica so basically I see three or four of their games in a season + highlights. I still have doubts in my mind that you might be talking out of your arse. Oh, and didn't you just more or less describe Rio Ferdinand there anyway.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

It's you Millsy isn't it? Does your dad have any inside track on our future signings again?

Hangeland?

There aren't many with the physical stature to compete evenly against Crouch and good enough for the top end of the Premiership.

Are we not signing a 6'3" german centrehalf? I get the feeling that Toure will be shuffled out to right back, we know he loves a trot upfield and is very comfortable on the ball. Lescott to leftback and Kompany pairing Boetang and we are sorted.

Do you not think we need proven quality cover, mate?

I haven't seen Boateng. How good is he?

Sure, sign Hangelaand for cover, I think he is a very good defender and would give any of our starters a run for their money, but I am opposed to revamping the whole defence and I think some people are talking about replacing 3 defenders when it isn't nessesary. I am more concerned that Stevie Ireland is our lone forward midfielder and we I wouldn't hate a winger who is left foot/left sided(Angel Di Maria perhaps) than putting the lot into the shop for an overhaul.

Edit- damn you for adding a line, I have only seen him in the Uefa and honestly I wasn't that impressed, but being that everyone and his dog seems interested in him, I am hoping they have seen something I haven't.

I think we are taking this a touch too far, we are not going to have 2 top quality sides come the start of next season.

Bridge, Richards, Onouha, Zabba are more than good enough cover for the full back places, whilst two of those are also good quality cover for CB, and who have been much improved this season on last - to the extent that it wouldnt overly concern me to see any of those 4 in the side for a month at a time.

I'm surprised this wasn't tried a few more times in the season, he's got a bit of pace, doesn't dive in like Zabba and, like you say, is comfortable on the ball.

Defender - Chiellini

Midfielder - Hamsek or Pjanic

Striker - Dzeko

We aren't a million miles away from having a squad worthy of challenging for the title. A bit of tweeking here and there and we'll be fine.

I think by adding the above, plus Boateng and maybe another winger (Joe Cole?) we'd be ready.

I'd be more than happy to have Kolo Toure hold down a first team spot provided (as others have said above)

it is at right back and not centre half

and

that he is relieved of the captaincy

if he can't stomach the two provisos he should be flogged

Is that 'Flogged' in the sense of sold or is it 'Flogged' in the sense of beaten half to death?

For anyone who's arsed, Balotelli is playing for Inter right now.

Haha. It pisses me off that a lot of city fans value 'putting a shift in' over anything else.

Woah there cowboy, what's right on cue about it?

This season, Balotelli has the same goals to games ratio as Berbatov. I hate to go all Carl here, but that's a FACT!

Well, Balotelli is still only 19, and I'm sure a lot of those games he will have been subbed or brought on as a sub himself. He's still raw. Rooney wasn't prolific at 19 either but he quite clearly had talent.

We'll see chief, but I don't rate this guy at all.

I'm prepared to say that IF he comes he'll be a bigger flop than Robinho.
