no signings

one bid for James Milner (GBP 20 million: rejected, per the press)
one alleged "done deal" for Jerome Boateng but no official word from either club

no sales officially discussed or agreed
no transfer requests have officially been acknowledged as having been put in

no concrete links with a striker, nor a creative midfielder

to summerise... fuck all has happened since we played west ham.. and the transfer thread is 30 pages long.. haha.

And yet still less embarrassing than the 400+ pages on bluemoan about the lack of transfer activity, I believe they deleted a 500 page one along the same lines as well.

Aston Villa defender Richard Dunne has warned James Milner that his chances may be limited if he heads to Manchester City.

Dunne is well aware of the competition for places at Eastlands after being told he was surplus to requirements by City last summer.

Now the world's wealthiest club have their sights set on his highly-rated Villa team-mate, who is valued at over £20million.

While Milner may carry a hefty price tag to the average club, Dunne insists the England midfielder will seem like a bargain to the Blues.

"Manchester City is a really big club now, but I suppose the problem they will have is they will have a lot of top players - £20million is nothing to them," said the 30-year-old.

"It's just another player really, so it's whether you are going to get enough game time.

"But I am sure with James, he is a very, very sensible fella and very clever, so he will make his own decision."

Milner was an integral part of Villa's fruitless but heroic campaign for a top-four finish last season and the club are keen to keep him for the next.

However, it's those impressive performances which have attracted the interest of Villa's rivals and Dunne knows that a big-money offer could eventually tear him from Martin O'Neill's side.

"That's the big thing. We want to progress as a club, but there are always bigger clubs, I suppose, with more money who can offer him maybe Champions League football, so it will be difficult," said Dunne.

"But if things don't work out and James does have to leave, the manager has been really good in the transfer market and will spend his money well.

"We have already got the likes of Fabian Delph there, who is going to become a really good player.

"As much as we want to keep James, we know he is a much sought-after player and it might prove difficult."

Dunno if it been posted this thread getting too big now... I really agree with the idea of a side forum for all these so they don't get lost.. Either way Dunne should keep his nose out he chose to leave (he didn't have to sign a contract with another club) and knows how great it is here.. Cunt...

what did you expect him to say when he was asked?? 'yeh james should definately leave and go to city'

id also be suprised if dunnie 'chose' to leave city.

He didn't have to sign a contract with Villa did he though?? Anyways that's history now my point I was trying to make is he should just say fuck all rather than talking to journalists about it.

lol he wasnt going to just hang around sitting on the bench was he. he was clearly forced out.

he was probably asked a question by a journo in a routine interview. he has every right to answer it, he is a villa player now who doesnt want to see his best team mates leave. no need to call dunnie a cunt.

Nothing wrong in Dunnies comments ( if indeed they are even reported correctly - which i doubt ).

However, what they show is the real question for Milner, so Dunne just clarifies it.. Milner can stay at Villa and have a starting berth every game, or he can go to a club that is trying to get to the top and will have to fight to improve himself and the team.. ie ambition or no ambition.
Probably one of the reasons we let Dunnie go... touche i would say!

i find it a bit ironic that this thread has made it to 30 pages, and yet half of the posts here are digs at bluemoon. i prefer this site to BM because of all the ITK garbage, but to clutter threads with post after freaking post pointing out why everyone who posts at BM is a fool screams inferiority complex.

i'd rather stick to actual footy talk.

McLaren was just on SSN giving a live interview - he was asked about Dzeko and like a complete idiot he just let slip that he has a clause in his contract which expires on Monday that allows him to leave for a set fee, so expect some transfer bollox in the next few days linking him with pretty much everyone in the Prem.

Could he really be that stupid or is he pimping him around???? Would be fucking retarded thing to say about their most hot prospect.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Not if as reported, he is after Craig Bellamy to replace him, or in a potential swap. All he does by releasing this info is that he boosts the interest in the player, and city have to pay more than what they would have before

This is McLaren we're talking about - the guy who gives TV interviews in a fake Dutch accent.

sorry about blwing ur theory out of the water Slim, but any player signed now, can only join on July 1st, which effectively means any player we want could have been negotiated after the jan window. And im sure that applys to the whole of europe.

you have to admit he won the Dutch league in part by using a fake Dutch accent. Pretty crafty on his part.

With mourinho finally being confirmed by Madrid this evening, Graham Hunter has just been on talksport saying Mourinho will go after Lampard. Failing that, elsewhere two days ago Guilleme Balague said RM would go for Gerrard if Daniele De Rossi wasn't
interested in a move.

Judging by Internet reports, De Rossi would be receptive to a move to RM, so it appears Gerrard could be as low as third on RM's list, thus leaving us in a prime position to make Liverpool an offer, if one hasn't already been made.

The good thing about him being named manager is he will clear out unwanted players and hopefully we can get a couple of good players out of it. Saying that though the last player we got from Mourinho wasn't very good free or not lol.

It's a scales of justice scenario really. I wouldn't mind seeing us making a bid for Wesley Sneijder (sp?). That Inter team have just won everything, there must surely be one or two looking for a fresh challenge, whilst being suitably compensated for any inconvenience of moving countries!!!
