Two reasons why I think Torres will be better off with US
1/ If he gets injured, he will be allowed to recover full ( unlike at Liverppool )
2/ He wont have to carry the team and will have better players around him.
For those 2 reasons alone I'd go all out to sign him
pain i can handle, but pride hurts

I think we all know that Torres is a top quality player who is actually Prem proven, however a few have concerns about him being injury prone. What has to be considered, which a few have alluded to, is that he was in a squad that couldn't give him time off the recover and he was always brought back to early which led him to make the tough decision to have the ops that he needed in readiness for the WC and ready for the new season; he did that, not Liverpool. Strange to think that even though he had all those problems, he still managed around 30 odd games and scored 22 goals!
For me, if there is any chance of him coming (which I feel there is) then I'd give it a good go, even more so now that we know he's had those niggling injuries sorted out.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

They are expected to announce Yaya tomorrow.. so the story goes.. and Boateng very soon.
The mail are reporting that we have Kolarov in the bag and that Dzeko is now agitating for a move.. which if true means he will be out of Wolfsburg whatever. This is all starting to get very interesting.. im not sure about Torres for some reason i prefer the idea of Dzeko.

Certainly looking good.
I'm not sure about buying another striker to be honest, I have a gut feeling that Adebayor will be on fire next season.

Yaya and Dzeko?
Jason burt just updated with this.
Apologies for saying that #mcfc would confirm 2 signings today. Expected #toure + #boateng to go through. 2 more to follo: #dzeko + #milner
I'd say Yaya will be signed off today or saturday. Dzeko and Milner hopefully next week.
How awesome is it being a city fan btw?
Wait i'll answer that... fucking awesome!

still really not happy about the proposed fee for the milner deal. it wouldnt make sense.
lets sign a near as can be world class attacking midfielder david silva for about 24/25mill..... then lets go and spend more than that on james milner!

I think this is forward planning for the home grown quota
Milner is young and reasonably talented...English players are notoriously expensive...add the City factor and bobs your uncle
it does seem ludicrous that Milner will cost more than Silva...but when you go on holiday to Spain you always get more for your money...whilst we always get screwed at home...nothing changes

German seriuos press confirmed today the City/Dzeko talks.
Dzeko had a contract with an buy-out clause of 40 Mill€ whoever it will pay until 1.6., suprisingly nobody popped up.
Now he made an interview (Wolfsburg started the new season yesterday) that he wants to make the next step and to move to another "big" club. He talks about concrete talks with other teams, witch is by expactation of the press the best Club in the world......
source. different german papers who won´t write of "the Sun" or SSN as their source......

The new regime at Barca is giving no problems on the Yaya front.
We only await the announcement (Elmundodeportivo).
