OK, risking a kicking here, but, over on bluemoon a poster reckons we've signed Schweinsteiger, as city have just added him onto their mobile phone account. Wouldn't usually post something i read on there, however, this guy has accepted a £50 bet from someone who said it was bullshit. I'll leave you to go read it if you want, but not much more detail than that.

Would be a fantastic signing if true, as him and toure in midfield would be a bit more mobile than de jong and barry.

You're probably right AC, (wondered if it was you), however, not sure why anyone would do it either way. If it's true, he's probably facing the sack. If not, he's still probably facing sack for announcing about City's account. It's one so odd, I'm inclined to believe it. It would also tie in with the cook/ng conversation about signings to blow you away, as this would definitely be in that camp

Germany midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has hinted at a move away from Bayern Munich by stating he is not "married" to the Bundesliga champions.

Schweinsteiger, one of the stand-out performers at the 2010 World Cup, has a contract at the Allianz Arena until 2012 which he insists he is happy to honour but the 25-year-old also concedes a move abroad would excite him.

"I have a contract with FC Bayern until 2012 and I really respect the club and the contract," he told Bild. "But I cannot say that I am married to FC Bayern. That would not be fair to the fans."

Schweinsteiger added: "I know that there is something great at FC Bayern. We didn't reach the Champions League final without good reason - and to win it is my ambition.

The article makes me think it's more of a wind up. I'd heard nothing about schweinsteiger till this claim, so it seemed a bizarre one to make up. However, if he'd seen the article first, it might have sparked the idea of a wind up.

Roll on sept 1st, when we can just concentrate on complaining about dzeko/torres/ibra (delete as appropriate) not tracking back.

There could be something in this. I had a call off a family member (a rag who has been disowned) on Friday who said that we had representatives in SA who will be visiting a German (no names given). For some reason I was thinking it maybe Lahm or Ozil, never thought in a million years it could be the Swine-Fucker.

yeah i agree. Here we just stick to the knobheads. We know our place and don't claim to know much of anything. It's fantastic and very healthy.
