There could be something in this. I had a call off a family member (a rag who has been disowned) on Friday who said that we had representatives in SA who will be visiting a German (no names given). For some reason I was thinking it maybe Lahm or Ozil, never thought in a million years it could be the Swine-Fucker.

Schweiensteiger is a much better player in my opinion. Very similar player to Milner so i can understand why we would be interested if Villa are not budging on their asking price.

If I had to make a choice between Oezil and Schweinsteiger it would be Schweinsteiger any day of the week. Oezil is very much a luxury player... he is damn good but he is a bit of a luxury. Schweinsteiger is a grafter who will fight with tooth and nails and at the same time possesses some sublime qualities when it comes to passing, scoring and set pieces.

Yeh definitely. I've watched Bayern quite a bit over the years, they are probably my second team and I have noticed Schweiensteiger tends to go missing. He has improved a hell of a lot though the past few years. To be honest I wouldn't mind either and you're right he is the same kind of player as Milner which is apparently what we're looking for. I haven't seen Silva play to much so I don't know whether him and Ozil are too similar to play together though so Schweiensteiger might be the better choice??

I am not ITK, only posted what I read in another forum's transfer speculation thread. I think I made that perfectly clear in my post. :)
But hey if it really happens maybe I can then claim ITK fame on Bluemoon and have tons of followers hanging on to my every word!

O'Neil's comments re Milner on SSN didn't sound like he was very confident of keeping him.

I wonder how desperately Mancini wants another striker (or 2). If he sees it as a priority then we'll have to pay the price if nobody will budge. If we hold out 'til August it may get interesting as many clubs will be waiting for us to do our deals before dipping their toes in the market, for fear of us driving the fees up. Could end up with an almighty deadline scramble if we sit it out.

Personally I think it's essential to sign at least 1 more striker. We can't trust Ade or RSC on last season's showing & Tevez' career goalscoring record is, so far, inconsistant.
