Quite right Grob. In fact not quite good enough for where we've been either. But excellent character and application. Jolly good egg.
Come and see us sometime - we dont say that to everyone!

2.5 mil is great business good luck to spanish gaz. it such a shame to lose a model pro like him who never slagged off anyone in the club despite being being deemed surplus to three managers. i also like the fact that he always gave his best and keep on bigging up the club if he was/had a little talented and pace i would have sacrificed bridge. good luck to your career spanish gaz.

Yeah, that was my first thought when I read this. Who's gonna help David settle in ?
Great fellow that Gaz. Good luck to him with his new club (if he is going, as I haven't seen it reported anywhere ?)

Agreed. Could of so easily gone the other way for him, he defo has talent.
Agree with that too.

Agree entirely. Reverse the nationalities and I'm sure a lot more people would feel the same way.
Wish Garrido the best - he's off to a decent club in a great league so he should do well there.
It was 1.5 million by the way.

God this guy sounds brilliant! How can we possibly let him go? Sometimes think I've been watching different players and that 6 goals at Chelsea was all a horrible dream!

I guess because he's such a decent bloke, we all are very forgiving of his shortcomings. Still I would keep him and get rid of Bridge,

A player that never quite hit it off but that has tons of ability. Like a lb version of Forlan. I'm sure he'll be a success in italy where he wont quite need to be so physical. Superb on the ball, one of very few players that arrived during the Sven era that appreciated the club, that gave his all when he played, and never once moaned. Don't know if you guys saw it but on SSN a couple of days ago in a short interview, he went on to praise the club, all our good players. He did make a comment about the 25 players as if he knew he wasn't going to be one. Top guy and a very good player who couldn't quite adapt to the prem. Always wished he got a shot on the left wing.

Over the last 18 months, ive never ever been able to get my head around the fact that some people rate Garrido over Bridge. Now, im not saying Bridge is a world beater but most of the time he's proven to be a very competant left back. Garrido can't run or head the ball, his tackling is super dodgy and he turns like a canal boat.
He seems a nice fella and has never complained and does his job with minimal fuss, but im unsure as to how he became such a sentimental favourite.

Bang on mate. As Bish says, there's something of the Berti about it!

1) Has this deal even happened? No confirmation anywhere and he's been assigned a squad number on the OS.
2) Does anyone remember Sam Williamson? I wonder where he rocked up. His cameo seems like a lifetime ago.

Not particularly, as he was shite. It's no more sad than you or I failing to play for City imo. If you're shite, you're shite end of! At least he got a free holiday to Thailand out of it, which is more than we got for not being any good!

True. But it's a big comedown. Making your debut at Eastlands in front of 47,000 and then being realeased by non-league Wrexham eighteen months later. I'd be devastated.

it's subjects like this that persuade me that those on here are still City and we haven't changed as many say.
We appreciate a real pro and give respect where it is deserved.
I'm proud of our treatment of people like Berti and Spanish Gaz.
i just wish a certain brazilian understood what we are talking about
It may be my last year as a season ticket holder as it just doesn't seem the same with so few English and local players (but I said that last year)
