Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

There's an article on the M.E.N. site that says the rags are stepping up their chase for Ozil. Rag readers' comments include the following:
1. a post claiming that as a result of City's bidding for Berbatov U****d had to pay a higher price for him and this has since caused him "psychological stress", which is why he hasn't performed for them.
2. a post urging Fergie to sign Ozil up, to "swoop for him like a seagull hunting sardines" - evidently the C*ntona effect is still at work.
3. that they don't need Ozil because young Cleverley and other kids are going to be the backbone of the team soon, (They may be on to something here, either way the lad's name is a commentator's delight.)
4. One poster calls the newspaper the "MCEN." Ah, how differently the other side sees things.

Must admit it used to be annoying people talking about the evil empire and their spawn in past years. But now it is tremendous comedy, better than anything on the box. Must admit if I'm free a trawl through their TEAMTALK page gives a good chortle, and you can even chip in with the odd well-aimed killer shot!
MCEN eh? Heard it all now!

I am sorry I see nothing wrong with. We clearly had a "fair" price in place until Taggert hijacked him at the airport, we clearly drove up the price because we had agreed on one, they chose to steal him (and thank fuck for that). It think the fact he had to share a car ride to the swamp with Baconface caused the "psychological stress"

I still can't believe that they got away with that deal. Fair play to us though in driving the price so high as to weight too heavily on Berbatov's lazy arsed shoulders

If you remember, Taggart got away with it because no official complaint was made by Spurs to the Prem or FA. Spurs decided not to complain after they had been paid HUSH MONEY by thre rags.
We never drove up any price. We were the only club that had made any official bid to Spurs and it was the price we were prepared to pay.
The rags were NOT involved until the KIDNAPPING.
Serves the bastards right...Karma working at its best.

His username was Montgomery Burns and yes KK his crusade against the Prem and FA was rather good.

I was going to move it to the Classics forum but I think it must have been on the old board because I can't find it.
