Breaking News on SSN that Yahya Kirdi (former Sirian footballer) has a group who are to buy 100% of the club, pay off all the debt and finance a new stadium. Apparently they are in final negotiations.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

According to Sly Sports News, Kenny Huang has stated that he hasn't made any formal bid for Liverpool. Looks like the media shot their bolt on this one a bit too early.

and so did Torres should that be the case! lol
Little shit, would serve him right, he waited to see if they would have a cash injection before making any public statements, I would fall off my chair laughing if this fell through now!

I'd love another season of fail from them. Gives me plenty of ammo against my 'Pool workmates :D One of them took down his 'Torres No9' PC screensaver when it looked as though he was going. It went back up yesterday - the sad bastard.

Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

is there anybody out there not currently bidding for Liverpool. In the past 24 hrs we've had Kenny Huang, some mysterious Syrian, then Keith Harris and Orville all throwing their oar in?
Experience tells you that if a serious, and I mean monied, takeover is to occur then the first the press know is that its done and completed rather than a tabloid soap opera played to a crowd - see examples Abramovic and ADUG for an illustration.
I'd wager the grandstanding potential takeover groups will be a Carsen Yuong typoe takeover, ie initial furore and then little substance, other than the odd £6m purchase on never was players like Zigic.

It seems as though no one is anywhere near buying Liverpool. Even if there were a preferred buyer, no due diligence has been done so very much doubt that business will be done before the transfer window closes.
US judge presiding over the Texas Rangers bankrupcy hearings says that creditors can go after Hick's other companies.
So they're still knackered then.

CIC deny Reds interest
The Chinese government's foreign investment arm, China Investment Corporation, have denied funding a bid for Liverpool.
The Chinese Government have been linked to a takeover bid fronted by Kenny Huang for the Anfield outfit.
Reports have suggested Huang's takeover bid was backed by the state-funded China Investment Corporation (CIC).
However, a spokesperson for CIC claims they are not involved in any bid for the English giants.
The spokesperson told the Financial Times there was "no way" the fund would get involved in such a high-profile, symbolic and potentially risky deal.
Hong Kong-based investor Huang admitted his interest on Wednesday and is thought to value the club at about £325m, but has not yet made a formal offer.
A number of parties are thought to be in talks with Liverpool over a possible deal with Syrian businessman Yahya Kirdi claiming his consortium of Canadian and Middle East investors has agreed a deal with current Liverpool owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks.

I don't know where all this CIC stuff came from, Luang said he has wealthy backers, not an entire country?
