If its what I'm thinkin of its just bollocks.

Some interestin quotes from Kolo Toure

"He's a great player, a really good guy as well and I had a few words with him on the pitch, and I hope to see him soon,"
"He is perfect for the English game. He's very strong, he's technically very good, he's fast. He's got everything to be a top player in the Premier League. He is strong mentally as well.

"His attitude is very good as well, he reminds me of Roy Keane, Patrick Vieira these type of guys.

"They have a really strong mentality and, in the Premier League, we like those kind of players.

"I just told him that we are waiting for him, thats it. Now we hope that the deal will happen. I spoke to him before the end of the match and then again afterwards. We will see what happens."

could it be a rumour link somehow? why is the date on it July 13th? what's that content from i wonder?

very strange indeed...good sleuthing BT. tomorrow could be interesting...if he chooses the Scum instead of us & Mancini it will be somewhat telling about the relationship they truly have. Perhaps we've fucked about too long and given them a chance to decide they are desperate and need to make a strong move while we fuck around over 2M. Hope that's not the case.

cheers

If this deal does end up getting scuppered, it will just confirm that we should have wrapped it up ages ago.
if someone has come in late and dusted a deal, it shows that it can be done quickly...anyway time for bed, and hopefully all will still be well

Whatever the rumours and stories abound about Ballotelli, I think it's a signal to up our game and get the bloody thing done. In the whole scheme of things surely it was 95% there already, and I know these things take time, but it's in no one's interest Inter, Us, Agent, player to drag this along....unless the agent / player is stalling to see who comes in at the last minute, in which case we could lose the upper hand. And would anyone be suprised to see him go to the rags or stay where he is ?

Wish-full thinkin here. I wouldn't put it past our club these days to 'try' and announce the two signings together. Could the Milner deal be the hold up ie Ireland goin the other way?

The rags do this all the time on their site. There are pages out there for Sneijder, Fabiano, and Ozil as well. Basically whenever a player is linked to them in the papers, they start building a player page for them

no, I wouldn't be surprised. I have actually been quite surprised how sure people have been. I saw about month ago already signs that this and Ballotelli deal will drag on and often when these things start to take too much time the chances are that deal will fall through.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Thuggerpool have just signed Poulsen apparently. That means Mascherano's off, which in turn probably means Inter are about to get some money to spend on him of course.

Milner was going to be on his way to City last night after the game according to Birmingham local newspaper. Held back because of some details in the Clark Kent transfer not being quite done but otherwise no probs. They expect him to sign this afternoon.

There is also this...

http://www.corrieredellosport.it/calcio ... o+dal+City

Quote:
MILAN , Aug. 12 - The passage of Mario Balotelli to City is imminent , perhaps a matter of hours. After days without much progress last night sides are considerably closer , and with the relaunch came from Manchester, now can not be ruled out imminent closure of the deal . Other new features are possible today because the phone Mino Raiola has remained hot until late evening. A first success has already been more than halved the gap between supply and demand (initially between 4 and 5 million ) and now seek to bridge the remaining gap . There is more optimism in the coming hours and a face -face meeting between the leaders , perhaps in the Milan offices of the Minister of Finance Inter Rinaldo Ghelfi , it is not impossible.

HURRY - Without admitting it, the two companies both want to close the deal : because Inter is looking for a replacement for Supermario ( Sculli , Giuseppe Rossi and Cassano have more chances to Kuyt and Forlan at this time : Yesterday at Appiano Gentile dt Branca, Benitez and his right arm Carboni made the point at dinner) , because the City would take the boy on the bench in Premier debut against Tottenham . Times begin to be restricted , but across the Channel have not lost hope despite some scathing comment : Balotelli called by the tabloids for Robinho flashes of class and breaks highlighted in National , betting agencies quoted even at 21 his win title scorer . Until late yesterday afternoon optimism was not long after the City has made an important step by sending a fax in Corso Vittorio Emanuele and now hopes to close to 28 million plus bonuses.

BIRTHDAY - Today Supermario celebrate his birthday (the same recurrence for Orlandoni ) as a gift and could wear the jersey of City . Not simpler , but even to exclude. Yesterday, the attacker has lived his day of relaxation after engagement with the national team with friends who are now thinking to distract him with a dinner of good wishes for his 20 years should be celebrated. Scheduled festivities also Concesio where parents are waiting , and thrilled to present Tuesday evening for the London debut in blue. After the long battle to obtain Italian citizenship for spouses Mario Balotelli happy to see them in training Prandelli was an incredibly satisfying feeling . The next step is the transfer across the channel , a step not just for families ready to leave not only their child.

If it wasn't for the fact that I've supported city for 40 odd years, I'd be completely certain this was done. Why is it that I still imagine myself switching on a telly at 2pm, staring, mouth open, at the tv screen, hot coffee dribbling down my chin as they announce "HEEES STAAAYYIIING!"
