from bbc coverage of rags game:

BBC Radio 5 live's Robbie Savage: "Craig has not been fined, that's not true. He's got a good relationship with Man City, says there's no problem at all between them. He thinks he should be in the City 25-man squad, but he's not. He's been at a club today having discussions but I can't tell you who it is. It might surprise you, possibly. He's had offers from clubs who might finish higher than Man City!"
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That screams Liverpool to me, not that I think they'll finish higher than us, just that dickhead outsiders will still cling to the fading notion of them being a 'top four' club

Sky Sports News understands Craig Bellamy is set to return to training with Manchester City on Tuesday.

Bellamy's future at City has been the subject of intense speculation in the last 48 hours with reports suggesting he was close to joining Cardiff City.

It had also been suggested that City had banned the Welshman from training and allowed Bellamy to link up with Cardiff.

However, Sky sources believe the former Newcastle and Liverpool man will return to training with Roberto Mancini's side on Tuesday.

Bellamy has claimed he feels he is being marginalised by the club and that he does not figure in Mancini's long-term plans.

The 31-year-old is expected to leave City before the end of the transfer window with Fulham,Tottenham and Celtic all chasing his signature.

Not sure if this has been posted. I'd take this with a large pinch of salt, but who the fuck next?

Tottenham made an enquiry to take Joleon Lescott on loan but were knocked back by Manchester City.

Harry Redknapp is keen to bolster his defence as fitness worries continue to surround the future of influential captain Ledley King, while Jonathan Woodgate is still plagued by a long-term groin problem and is unlikely to be named in the final 25-man squad.

Lescott appears to be out of favour after Roberto Mancini opted to start with Kolo Toure and Vincent Kompany at the heart of the City defence.

But despite having to contend with a place on the substitutes bench, Lescott was denied the chance to move down to London as City were not keen for him to join a Champions League rival.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Itll be Arry again having his usual moan - "I'd like im but City would want a fee etc etc" - he must think we are a bloody charity.

I wouldn't sell Spurs the shit off my shoes and sincerely hope City wise up and use the advantage we have got.

At least it looks like finally coming to a close, one way or another, in the next 24 hours. Something that all City and Villa fans will be thankful for.

Why can't Harry piss off? I saw an article the other day where he was lamenting the fact that we won't let our players talk to him. Does he want Bellamy wrapped up in silk with a note on the side- "Dear Harry, here you are- no charge Sir and we'll pay his wages. Here's hoping he propels you into the top four at our expense, and do let us know if we can help you in any other way. Regards, Manchester City".

The problem is we want money for our players. No fucking shit Sherlock. I was in Tesco today, they wouldn't let me have steak fillets on the house. Why not?

Liverpool look likely to sign PSV Eindhoven's Swede, Ola Toivonen, for around 10m pounds.
Decent, tall, young striker, but I wonder if he has the pace necessary for the Prem.
