The club too family orientated?

Loving all the responses that accuse me of moaning even though i said i applaud the club for doing what they are doing, my concern was that everything is now geared towards families which from a business viewpoint is where all the money will come from which is starting to dilute our support abit IMO.

In the North Satnd yes, but I don't see that style elsewhere. Where I am it's very plain and simple - beer, pies and bookies, just like it's always been. We can make our own entertaiment/conversation, unlike the kids who get bored after 2 minutes sat in their seats.

The demographic of match going supporters has increased over the last couple of years which (usually) means that its the same suporters that are going to games, the club by making extra provisions for families is ensuring that the next generation of supporters are in the habit of going to games rather than watching them on tv. Its important that the club wins over the next generation of supporter otherwise we'll lose the biggest source of income and our reason for existance!

It's funny how this debate seems to have made people more comfortable with the idea of the family stand.

The more I think about it the closer to perfect it seems as a solution. Really is better for everyone, except in the short term for the people who had to move.

Those young independent lads who are worried about the atmosphere, well it concentrates you and then in a few years time when you have kids, well you've heard the excuses: the guys who can't afford to bring kids or even have difficulty going themselves, the guys who don't have time, the guys who have to leave the kids with the mrs, or organise babysitters if they're separated or she's unavailable, the guys who'd love so much to share the club they love with their kids...

I'd say that within 5 years half the clubs in the prem will have done the same thing.

I reckon you are right - and watch how many have a version of CITY Square - this club have a quality management team and will be setting the standards for a number of aspects of running a club that others will copy

I`m happy that people have a choice of where to sit with kids and put the onus on parents a choice of swearing or not. This leaves those of who want to sing songs with "naughty" words in them free from miserable moaning gets. As you see this family stand policy works both ways. I have moved to 110 for this season and although a poor turn out I do expect Juve at home to be sold out(the pricing policy will surely be reviewed for the other 3 matches). I hope the carrying young kids through still happens as I have a 2 and 4 yrs old. the older of the two went to 8 home games last season and has shown an interest and it will be my choice to take him in 110. The same will happen to the younger one.
