Is it just me that thinks he's shit? I just fail to see what his qualities are. He's slow, gives the ball away, can't pass beyond a short roll to a team mate and has bad positional sense.

in my opinion he shouldnt be starting because like you say slows the play down,id maybe start him away but not at home you need to let your creative players play and get you a goal. He trys looking for the passes that silva or someone like yaya would, but thats not his game.

lol yeah but if we are not looking for a goal, he is great at playing it backwards and sideways (best in the league at that) but its when he trys creating goals he gives it away endlessly.

I remember late runs in to the box last season and some fucking passion and energy. i remeber De-Jong type dominance and regular danger.

Barry gave a free header to Djorou and was there fucking up with Bridge. But honestly, he has been off the pace for a while now. I reckon we need more positive player in his place in future. He will be good squad player but we need better starter imo.

I thought Barry and Milner both did OK under the circumstances. Just goes to show that we all see a slightly different game. Wouldn't like to criticise any of the lads today - Arsenal have to be the most difficult team in the league to play against with 10.

He's been really good a few times this season. Chelsea especially.

Today was his worst game I can remember, fair dos he's in for a bit of stick as he was awful.

That said has Milne had a good game for us yet? I'm sire being played as one of the front 3 isn't his spot, but why put ade and aj on the bench when milner can't do the job up top?

I think right now, instead of picking a formation and making tough decisions on who starts and who rests, mancini has been shoehorning players he wants on the field for various reasons in positions where they don't necessarily serve the team best. I think part of it is having a lot of talent available and the other part is key members having been injured for so long that we have had to adapt. As our players come back from injury I'm hoping we settle into a more stable formation with a more stable starting 11 with more clearly defined roles. I believe that we will.

I think milner in particular is a result of this policy we have implemented up to this point. I think barry is a victim of it, and our midfield in general really. I think we will get over it though.

I don't see that he brings very much positive for us. He'd be the one dropped for a more attacking line up. I still firmly believe we need to do that.
