Dzeko rumour+Stadium naming

Dzeko still on radar according to Lady Man. Also Cook allegedly mentioned stadium naming.

I should think we could do just about anything we like considering the amount of money Hrh will be putting into developments in Manchester.

Maybe naming was a part of the newly renegotiated terms? Or maybe it's just a rumour.

Ladyboy is suggesting in that article, that Cook has been openly talking about it. Interesting that he's said we're only at 40% of our potential income & mentions new revenue streams. Can't wait for the next bit. Will piss everyone off even more, you can guarantee it!

If we are only at 40% of our potential income and know that we won't be paying average players like Barry and Adebayor £120k a week in 5 years time, i do hope that they will reduce ticket prices. Especially if they want 75k a week there.

Surely this calls for a "name the stadium" thread. Not sure what they'd change it to, but hopefully not sportsdirect.com @ the city of Manchester stadium (or whatever Newcastle's is called now)

And in being beaten by Arsenal at Eastlands on Sunday, City were reminded that the depth of their squad is still not quite as they would like it to be.

A straight red after four minutes had nothing to do with it then?

And I thought Dzeko > Juve was already a done deal?

Also

For Manchester City it has been a week that proves once again that money only gets you so far in a short space of time.

So we are in tied points for second spot after having played Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal in first nine games yet we have proved that we are getting nowhere? Whatever.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

And how many said it would take two months before the team would start to gel?

Interesting. I doubt Wolfsburg will accept "magic beans".

"There was enormous disappointment at Eastlands regarding Rooney. It would have been seen as the perfect transfer. Better even than the one involving Carlos Tevez."

Who from City has told him this. Wether we went for him or not I`ve not heard anyone so far from City come out and say it. More like taggart and co fell for stretfords "City are after him" line. Or am I wrong?

Edit - "The sheik`s still really here" stadium would be good.

The ground will probably be named the 'Nike Arena' or something like that...Cookie will use his contacts to get an astronomical deal

Knowing how things work in the UAE and if there is open bidding for naming the stadium, I think it will end up been called Etihad Stadium. After all there is an Emirates stadium in London !!

cooky interview very good one he came across very well indeed. scary to think we are only at 40% of potential revenues, the sheikhs advisors sound like they have been working hard

as for Dzeko from what ive seen he would blend into the prem no problem and provide great target for our wingers supplying the amo. would love david louis(benfica) as i feel were are one world calss defender short

I don't think David Luiz is a world class defender. Promising, yes, but not world class. He plays in Portugal for one, and only got called into the Brazil set up a month or two back.

There's an Etihad Stadium in Melbourne - it's already been done.
