mate, the OS confirmed the transfer request, so this time it's not the media being after us.

.............I am not surprised to hear that this is Kia up to things that will line his own pockets.

The statement " and he is the highest paid player at the Manchester City Football Club." also puts to bed the stupid claims that the press have been making regarding a Ya Ya - I have always thought that such wages were the gross of what could be achieved - including bonuses if CITY were to win title, europa etc

As stated above, I bet you any money that therein lies the crux of the whole issue

"they don't appreciate you enough Carlos"

"not showing you enough respect Carlos"

"you have been the best player by a mile, why are you not the best paid"

There could be another aspect to this. When Rooney asked for a move, we got the blame, yet both City & Rooney said it wasn't us & Rooney said he would have gone abroad. Who is the logical next choice for a club in need of that kind of player? Tevez.

Who has been looking for a striker, has loads of money to offer agents, was linked with Rooney & has just been dicked by Barcelona?

from another other post which states my feelings exactly:

Fuck him. Fuck him. Fuck him. And this coming from our captain!!!

'The written transfer request is in stark contrast to Carlos' stated position in both public and club contexts. Significantly, over recent months, the Club has also received numerous requests from Carlos’ representative to renegotiate and improve his playing contract as well as more recently a request to extend that contract by another year.'

This is just a pissing contest coming from Media Sports Investments and I from the Sheffield United scandal we know that Kia Joorabchian owns his ass. He states over and over again how much he misses his family, but isn't that a convenient excuse to distance himself from the whole mess?? In the end it is all about money!!

Trade him to MLS.

Still I am widely convinced that outside interests are playing a wide role on all this shit and the bastard sneaky agent is rubbing his hands at the thought of what profit can make on a move to Spain.
My votes are for the Club acting with good heart toward Carlos but with the utmost and powerfull ruthless toward the Agent.

Greedy, stupid, too easily influenced? Obviously the homesick thing doesn't sit well alongside constant requests for contract renegotiation. Really not sure what to make of it all. One things for sure tho, I really hate his agent.

This is why I think its more the agent - why the fuck would City want to agree an extension to his contract if he's making noises about being homesick and wanting to move back to Argentina?

The whole thing sounds like a nightmare.

Why would his agent be asking for one? Doesn't sound like he's been working for Carlos imo, more for himself.

It's Rooney's fault.

Joorabchian has seen he's the highest player in the league and has tried to make a few quid by getting Carlos to be the highest paid, we've told him to fuck off until the summer so he's slapped in a transfer request.

Well I would imagine he would work in a fee for negotiating the extension, thereby making him more money. So yes I think he has been working for himself rather than Carlos.

Re: Tevez hands in transfer request?????

The way I see the timing of events are:

1/ Carlos has had an issue with Mancini for some time - but it is not the end of the world - if only Kia would stop stirring - with him leaking out all sorts of stuff that he hears from Carlos.

2/ The Rooney situation demonstrates the opportunity to Kia to renegotiate 'his' player's deal - he has probably been behind the Ya Ya crap as well to unsettle his player and to get the remit to negotiate

3/ CITY recognise the need to put an end to rumours and do the 2 part interview - stating several days earlier that the interview will be issued on the site - and therefore unable to not put it out

4/ Then comes the substitution against Bolton after which Carlos says he wants out - what can CITY do then? They cannot retract the issue of the interview - they do the sensible thing and let him head off to Argentina hoping that it all calms down and can be handled - so they go ahead with the publishing the interview - no doubt discussing frantically behind the scenes how to handle things and keep it all private

5/ But this does not suit Kia - he wants it out to pile the pressure on CITY and make a wedge. I would not be surprised if he has had discussions with Madrid to pave the way and that they think that they can roll CITY over and get Tevez on the cheap.

It is simply not logical that any Argentine club could afford Tevez, only the like of RM and Barca could - but they could not compete with CITY unless the position was destabilised so we ended up caving in - typical Kia stuff and I would not be surprised if Madrid have not 'had a word' with Kia after having failed to get Rooney

I would say to Carlos (because he is that important) that a) we will allow him an extended break in Argentina every 6 weeks in line with the priority of our games, b) that we will allow him a major break at the end of the season and limit his need to be on pre-season tour etc and c) confirm that we will renegotiate his contract at the mid -term and ensure that he remains the bast paid player at the club and in the prem.....

I would get Kahldoon or Gary to have the chat personally - this will at least blow all the hidden stuff out into the open and strip things back to the basics = likely that the agent wants to secure a major pay rise for his client

This is a pivotal point - CITY need to be firm but fair and flexible - we do not need to be hard-arsed - just firm - be sensitive - be caring - but do not be mugged.

The good news is that we have the January window around the corner - our defence and midfield are performing well - we could get a lead striker in (Dzeko for me) that would be a good acquisition anyway should Tevez stay and if he does not provide cover - in short CITY are beyond the point where we will be derailed by an issue with 1 player - I think that we can win the title with any combination of Tevez, Mario and Dzeko in front of the best performing defence and MF in the country

Perhaps those who want to talk about anti-city media bias will maybe understand now that the media do have connections within the club/game as a whole, and that they do have an inkling of what is happening with regards internal politics.

I know a lot of what is written is bollocks and hyperbole, but the sheer disdain towards the media this thread started out with was pathetic and has made some of you lot look rather silly.

With regards Tevez, I have to say i'm ambivalent. If HE genuinely doesn't want to be here, then I am not all that arsed if he goes. He appears to be 100% professional on the pitch which is what counts to the fans, but the way he continuously disrespects the manager in public when substituted is simply not acceptable. If he does that in public, how does he treat Mancini behind closed doors.

Also, by asking for the transfer he would have waived his right to a big pot of cash for the remainder of his contract which means the "greed" element seems a bit of a red herring.

Hence the 'Tired' thread.

Whatever though- fucking gutted. Even if this turns out to be a rooney type contract thing (which I dont think it is) he's not befitting of the armband.

This news practically ruined my Sunday. This thing with homesick is starting to get weird. First of all, i saw some pics with Tevi and some woman, that wasen`t his wife, so i ask myself were is this so called homesick? I understand that he has a daughter, but why on Earth doesn`t he get her in England? We know that Argentina is a poor country, and like Brazil, the stars are a target for criminals. I remember last couple of years, when Robinho mom was kidnapped and so on.
I think there are two problems with Tevi`s:
Problem one : He is a south american, and you all know what that means. They all have problems, disciplinary problems. I really don`t know what is the problem with him an Mancio, he plays him often, he was named by Mancio as captain, he is the highest earner, what the hell must be the problem?!?
The second ": I really think that someone has a bad influence with Tevez, and i`m thinking that the agent is that man. Someone is suggesting him to do think so bizzare like this one., for this crap the football agents distroy players and football.

Anyway, i don`t have worries, he has 3 years more with us and if he likes it or not, he must respect it.

This is the wierd part:

Could it be that Carlos (pushed by his agents) wants to do a Rooney on the club ?

@Dubaimancityfan

Maybe, but maybe i have someone in mind. Joorabchian has/had two players at West Ham. One went to Scum, one went to Looserpool. I really think that lately, maybe that cunt Mascherano was trying to convince Tevez that Barcelona will be a good thing for him.
