Why would they do that? Especially as right now he appears to be slagging city off and accusing them of lying when he takes the side of Tevez?

I'd actually believe that more than the other way around.

Unless this is a "homesickness" thing, then somebody is at fault for the way this has all been handled... I think there's a strong chance Tevez has had a falling out with Marwood/Cook.

I just want it all cleared up asap and no fucking lies, we deserve to know the truth.

It actually sounds quite thick to try and force through a new contract, mid-season, when he's got 3 and a half years left. I like the club's stance of making it all public, but they better not be lying or witholding some shit or this could turn really messy

Ashton has just claimed that he's seen Yaya's contract when it was offered to him at Barca. That suggests either he's a mate of Cook & Co (fucking unlikely) or he's in league with Yaya's agent as well.

Why are you saying the club IS showing him details? He was clearly saying it was when Yaya was at Barca & never mentioned anything about it being City who showed him the contract.

I always had an inkling that he wasn't 100% behind a move to City. We didn't manage to earn Champions League Football at the end of his first season and he was then awarded the Captaincy for this season despite not being an obvious candidate for the job. Kompany, De Jong or even Barry seemed more suitable. Was he given the honour of leading City on the pitch to ensure he stayed? All ambitious Players should aspire to be the Captain.

Kia Joorabchian is a terrible influence on him. He's a known 'character' in Football and Tevez has been with him throughout. The Agent will make a few quid out of this deal. If Tevez doesn't want to stay and is unhappy with his presence at City then he's of no use to us anymore. I'd be really disappointed to see him leave under such a cloud because he's been a wonderful Player - but no-one is bigger than the Club. That sort of special treatment will create division.

Ashton will be pushing the Kia version of events since that is where he is getting his info.

This is all I assume part of ADUG's overall determination to keep Agent costs to a minimum and reduce their influence. Kia has been pretty much persona non grata at City for a while which is I guess why Tevez is now required to make a choice which he has now made.

Cook and Marwood are simply fulfilling their brief and inevitably there will be casualties and short term pain. If ADUG had just rolled over and 'renegotiated' the contract giving Kia a nice payday then everything would be sweetness and light and we would have far much less shit in the press but thats not the way ADUG want to go or wish to conduct business hence we are now in the middle of 'Tevezgate'.

Much as we rate Tevez as a player in the great scheme of things he is replaceable. Short term it is a pain in the arse but there is in my view no way back for Tevez especially after they showed the two part interview earlier this week and the statement from the club last night. In essence City have said he is a disloyal, lying greedy cunt. Reality is he is just more loyal to Kia. His problem is that City have him on a long contract so god knows how this will play but I can't see ADUG letting go without their pound of flesh. Robinho pretty much kept his counsel and went back to Brazil with no financial assistance from us and we ended up with a reasonable fee so everyone happy. Bellamy has also toed the line so no problem there but 'Tevezgate' could get very ugly. Its a shame but when you deal with dogs like Kia you will end up with fleas hence our desire to rid ourselves of their unwelcome presence.

I also think this will make Mancini even more rock solid with ADUG as being joint top and playing well when the shit hit the fan (or should I say fans) has taken the impact out of it. Also Kia is viewed by a lot of journo's as a total shitbag so even Cook could win a popularity contest against him

Robinho has a lot to answer for. Tevez wants the same deal and isn't getting it. That's the root of it IMO.
Ashton is now trailing the statement as "very aggressive" and will cause "big problems at City"

It wasn't much of a deal. Robbie went back but the club didn't pay his wages for the 6 months. He then came back and we flogged him for £16m.

The only good thing about this saga, is that we are very close to a transfer window, so we can make a couple of signings and soften all this angst.
Why is it that when we are down in the doldrums of the 2nd Div, It's Cups For Cock Up's, and when we are riding high joint top, we are still suffering the same kind of shit. I know this might not be our fault, but it doesn't look good

I saw the Toure thing. He said his basic is E5M a year which works out just over 110k a week. A lot but no where near the 250k bullshit that has been floating around.

Thanks for sharing Your very minded opinion BobKowalski, Mate. Great contribution as usual.
we'll sit and see...as already said, this for the Club, is more of a turning point than the Everton and the remainder of December's games

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

Carlos Tevez is so adamant he wants to quit Manchester City that he will go public with his reasons which will surely make any decision to force him to stay untenable.

Carlos Tevez has repeatedly clashed with Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini
• Tevez planning retirement
• City reject Tevez transfer request

Tevez is now also livid at the club's statement insinuating that he has been manipulated into this decision by his representatives. The Argentine is set to issue a statement indicating the reasons behind his personal decision to quit Eastlands.

And it will open up enormous wounds, when he reveals information about how the club is run, alleged promises made to him, and claims that such promises have been broken.

Tevez rejected a one-off bonus to stay for the season, the biggest ever offered to a single player, but he turned it down because nearly six months ago, he had virtually made up his mind he wanted to quit the club.

Bitter resentment that has been bubbling just below the surface is about to explode and the ramifications could be immense for City. Tevez paints a picture of disarray behind the scenes at one of the wealthiest clubs in the world, if not the richest.

It likely to make Tevez ever playing again for the club virtually impossible, and certainly unthinkable beyond the January transfer window and will intensify the pressure on manager Roberto Mancini and also the senior management team behind the scenes.

ESPNsoccernet has been given a full insight into the reasons why Tevez, the team's captain and talisman, wants to leave.

Tevez has shocked the title challengers by submitting a formal transfer request, which has brought a reaction from City in turning it down, and now Tevez will react by going public on his reasons for wanting to leave.
