I can't fucking believe this mess... but should've know... joint top of the table, decent few games ahead, all looking rosy, but this is City and bang, I wake up to this shit! Only we can be on such a high only to be kicked back down to earth so sharply!
First off, I can't say how massively disappointed I am with Tevez... I love the guy, but it does seem his advisers are worse than Shrek's the way this is being handled!
A couple things I can't understand in all of this though... says his relationship with certain people at the club has broken down... alluding to Marwood and Cook... surely his dealings with those two are limited? I'm sure we've all worked with people we couldn't stand at some time, but you get on with it!
Also, he wants us to accept his transfer request... fair enough, suppose we say ok - first off who can afford him, as his transfer fee I would say has doubled from what we paid at least... not to mention his wages. Also, what other club in the world would allow him the time to fly back to Argentina to visit his family like we do... I don't think there is such a club.
I can understand why people may say moving to Spain would be good as his family would have no trouble with the language, but hasn't his wife left him? Surely that means she doesn't want to be near him anyway, and why would she then move to Spain... also, just because the lingo's the same, it's still a foreign country so why should they be any happier there?
Finally I'm angry shite like this as come out in the press again - Get a fucking grip of this sharpish City... i'm sick of us leaving ourselves open to negativity like this... Ashton is a grade A cunt, and should be banned from the stadium, and Joorbachian... well the bloke's a waste of a human life!

I've posted some of this on another thread, but I hope its worth airing. We must not just be seduced by showboaters and ego's, but look at potential loyalty and commitment. I would much prefer a team, whose ethics are to work together as a team, rather than just purely individual brilliance. Mario may be the next crisis in line.

I don't think it's any coincidence that Tevez had a huge chip on his shoulder with Fergie, before he joined us, Ade had the same with Arsenal, and Mario with Inter.
As far as i know Silva didn't have the same issues, nor people like Kolorov. We don't need any more 'damaged goods'. Although not in the same calibre playing wise, Barry, De Jong, Kompany Milner, AJ, Boetang and so forth, joined City to improve themselves and their situation. Tevez just wanted to get out from where he was, like Robbie did at Madrid. We waved the dosh, as the next port in a storm.

Let us no longer target players with an agenda or personal vendetta. Ade used his goal celebration against Arsenal to let out his anger, as did Tevez against the Rags. In some ways, I feel those players 'used' us and did not come to City for honest football reasons. We have the money, the ambition and the credentials now to get to the top. we don't want any players who could further sabotage our journey

Because the club like to spin everything to suit themselves and think us fans are too stupid to see through the real issues.

If anyone thinks Platt or anyone else at City showed Ashton Toure's contract then they're certifiable. I would also be very careful about making such an allegation because it is seriously defamatory and could get the site in trouble. First off we have an allegation that he's seen it second he could have got it from a third party.

This whole Tevez story is designed to force us to sell a player we don't want to sell. No one at City has the remotest interest in helping it along. Ashton, like other journalists, has contacts with many clubs. He may well have good contacts at City but that doesn't mean that he doesn't have other contacts outside the club as well! Many journalists know Joorabchian and can contact him without any trouble. Joorabchian clearly chose Ashton as a journalist on a newspaper with a very large circulation. Once he saw how the Club reacted he's fired back very firmly with threats of more to come unless we climb down.

Will he end up in Spain? Where else? Already the line has come out that he hopes to persuade his wife to come out to Spain. So he keeps up the line about missing his family whilst hoping to achieve his real objective; a move to La Liga. Why? Better weather, Spanish language and the usual from Tevez the grass is greener. And of course Joorabchian will get a handsome fee.

"Since signing for Manchester city, I have enjoyed playing for the supporters. They have welcomed me to the club and I regret that it has come to this.

"They deserve success as reward for their passionate and patient support. The club is very fortunate to have supporters like these. Anybody who has watched me play for Manchester City cannot question my commitment and passion for the club whenever I have worn the shirt.

"However, I can confirm I have handed a transfer request to the chairman of Manchester City Football Club. Now I need to clear my head and think because this is an important part of my career. My feelings have not changed and it is regrettable we have reached this situation but It is something I have felt for some time and have spent many hours thinking this through.

"I wanted to leave in the summer, but was convinced to return to the club. Sadly, my feelings have not changed. I hugely resent the management's suggestions that I have been unduly influenced by others. I am disappointed that the management should now see fit to try to portray the situation in another light.

"My relationship with certain executives and individuals at the club has broken down and is now beyond repair. I do not wish to expand on this at this stage. They know, because I have told them. I wish to clarify that I have no personal issue with the manager Roberto Mancini.

"I could have signed an improved contract, offered by the club during this season; however this decision is not about money. I have made that clear to both the board and the management on several occasions. The owner has been very generous with what he has offered to me. I would like to thank Sheik Mansour for his understanding and support.

"I want to thank the supporters for making me welcome at Manchester City and hope they agree I have given my all for the club on the pitch."

Its a good point. Mario I would cut some slack though. At least he doesn't pretend to like us and he might actually do so at some stage :) And he's 20 and given the abuse he gets when pulling on the national jersey he has some reason to be a moody cunt

So where is he on about missing his daughters etc? I don't think we could have done anything more for him outside of changing the climate of Manchester to that of Argentina and moving his family here.
