I think it would be foolish to lynch Tevez just now. It's early days and as the Rooney case showed all it will take is a bit more money and everything will be changed. Rooney never wanted to leave United and his agent made him look a complete c**t in everyones eyes.

Lets just wait and see and concentrate in getting behind the team for Saturday and If he turns up in Madrid I will be at the front of the angry mob.

While its a kick in the bollocks I still think he'll be here on Feb 1 (and maybe even September 1 2011). I reckon he's 'doing a Shrek' and from the statements this all seems to be about money as he's not mentioned 'homesickness' anywhere. This will no doubt be sorted in the summer.
If he does go of course it will be a blow (he is the leagues top goalscorer afterall and you can't find one of those easy) but it could be worse as it's not Silva, who IMO is now the spark and creative force of our team and is becoming, or has already become, our best player.

Manchester City will not sell want-away striker Carlos Tevez in January, BBC Sport understands.

The player says he wants to leave because his relations with "certain executives" at the club have "broken down beyond repair".

Manchester City made the decision not to sell Tevez after talks with club owner Sheikh Mansour.

If the Argentine refuses to play or retires, the club will seek compensation for breach of contract.

The deal, which has three-and-a-half years to run, is estimated to amount to tens of millions of pounds and if it is not honoured, City will take the matter up with his agent and former 'owner' Kia Joorabchian.
