Why would a football agent want to "dick" with the richest club in the world that need to make signings in future and will offer huge wages/transfer fees/signing bonus'. It's like splitting up with your missus the day after she won the euromillions. You just wouldnt do it.

He might be a dick but if city refuse to deal with him anymore he would be the one losing out on a SHIT load of money. More than he'd make from tevez in the rest of his say 5 year career anyway and if tevez spends the next 3.5 years of that on our bench or worse yet not being payed and not being allowed to sign for a new club how does he benefit?

He either had/has something lined up and in that case wouldnt the other club be accused of tapping up our player if they have arranged with his agent to force the transfer?

It's confusing on a few levels.

I can't see Bobby putting him in the Team for Monday. Has that been confirmed already?

I hope he takes the captaincy away from him pronto as well and gives it to someone who deserves it.

MEN is reporting that he will play monday if Mancini thinks he can be professional about it and the armband will go to Kolo or Komps.

I would love for the stadium to go deathly, couldn't hear a pin drop quiet when his name is read out. Won't happen but I'd fuckin love it.

I would fuckin hate it if some fans put banners up pleading for him to stay....Remember when the rags did it and looked total cocks afterwards when he left them for us.

I would love it if he got the biggest fucking cheer and applause known to man, he is still a City player, he is still our top scorer, and I have not seen or heard him myself saying he does not want to be.

I have read quotes that were most likely fabricated or released by Kia.

People get over excited and say things they shouldnt go back on (as the Munichs did with Rooney) I am not going to judge Tevez until I know if it actually was him or until I see him on SSN holding up another teams shirt?

Ha ha... or maybe decades of following this club has taught me to stay level headed and not jump into a frenzie about something that may or may not happen as well all know how little truth comes out through the media and how quickly situations change.

Tevez is still a city player, I will continue to treat him as such.

Hope you're right blue, it would be great if Tevez sticks with us for the title but I won't be cheering unless he scores!

DT Exclusive: The absolute rejection of Tevez's transfer request
By Brooks Peck

Carlos Tevez is unhappy at Manchester City. He misses his daughters back in Argentina and his relationship with manager Roberto Mancini is in the toilet. So, like Roque Santa Cruz before him, he made a formal transfer request. Man City, however, see this as their highest paid player attempting to strong-arm a contract re-negotiation. The following is a transcript of Tevez's conversation with Man City chief Garry Cook.

Tevez: Mr. Cook, can I talk to you?

Cook: Look, you really can't come to me every time Balotelli says you look like you have rabies, OK?

Tevez: No, it's not that. I was wondering if you reviewed my transfer request yet.

Cook: Oh. Yeah. I did.

Tevez: So what's the club's answer?

Cook: The answer is "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" But with, like, 18 more o's.

Tevez: But Mr. Cook, I really miss my family and they're all the way in Argentina.

Cook: So? We'll fly them over here. Or, better yet, we'll clone them for you. Just provide us with some hair samples and consider it done.

Tevez: That's not the same. I'm just really homesick and I want to leave now.

Cook: Hahaha I laugh at your human emotions and frailties! Hahahahaha!

Tevez: So can I go?

Cook: No! You will stay here with your clone children and score goals until the Sheikh tells you to stop! We put you on a freaking billboard, Carlos. A billboard! Do you understand the sanctity of that?! Also, you're the captain.

Tevez: I just want to be with my family. I will retire if I have to!

Cook: Carlos, tell me something. You're not trying to pull a Rooney right now, are you?

Tevez: A what? I don't, uh, I don't know what that means.

Cook: Are you pretending you want to leave just to get even more money out of the club? Because if you are, I will spank you. I'm not kidding. I will bend you over my knee and spank you like a child. And then, you know, we'll give you more money.

Tevez: Yes! Suddenly I don't miss my family so much anymore! It's a Christmas miracle!

Cook: Good. Now tell Balotelli to stop leaving flaming bags of dog poop outside my front door.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Finding out about Tev putting in the transfer request really upset me,But despite that ...if he plays against Everton and we win hell be on the right path to being forgiven by me.

If he goes he goes but if he plays Monday then like Sandman said he should be applauded. I'd say let's not lick up to him but let's also let him know that if we aren't as fickle as the dopey reds. No banners, no drama, no crying - maybe a bit of gallows humor though should someone gifted come up with a decent ditty and then on with the game and some decent renditions of blue moon and the greatest team in the land etc.

P.S. If he stays till the summer we still need to get fresh blood up front. I'd swap Jo for Caicedo too.

I lean more towards your position. I hope that Bobby does not do anything to exacerbate the situation - yes we need to firm but not aggressive - just professional

There is a contract dispute going on - that is 'off the field' - if Bobby decides to select him then we should respect that - we (the fans) should not undermine that by showing abuse to the player - it is a time to be cool and let things unfold

If he does play and score vs Everton, it'd be just like him to have some oblique remark beneath his City shirt or scrawled on his shin pad. Hope not, but playing him could potentially complicate the situation further, which we don't want.

If he's played his last game for us, so be it. If he wants to play again for us he must commit to us until the end of the season at the very least. Don't want to see anyone pull on a City shirt begrudgingly.

At this point, I see any ability he has as being negated by the fact that he is poisoning the atmosphere in the clubhouse.
If we were another team where stability wasn't so much a concern I'd understand, but like Micah said, so many players have
come and gone; Can we really afford this given all our roster turnover?!

Interesting to see that new statement from Jooabchian this morning...

"'Carlos was very disappointed not achieving CL...." - "...issues that CITY promised would be sorted out have not been......"

Claims he cannot say what the issues are 'cos of confidentiality - but that "...Cook thinks he is bigger than Carlos Tevez...."

Sounds really desperate stuff to me - what could Carlos have wished to be sorted after we failed to get CL?? New players? - tick - CL position this season? - tick etc
