I think you're correct, yet again after last years debacle we are short of strikers. We needed to buy another to replace Ade and RSC in Jan, now depending on discussions we probably need another.

To be fair I think they really went after Dzecko but Wolfsberg played a pretty straight bat with that clause in his contract. Seems they may be more wiling to sell now that Schteve has had a rocky start.

We should have replaced Ade and RSC during the summer, at least one of them anyways. In fairness Ade sounded like he might buckle down and try and prove himself to Mancini, but it was always a gamble imo. And in fairness to City they were trying to get players in, just didn't manage it in the end. With Bellamy going too it left us with Carlos as our only reliable option. As ive said i think there is a good chance that is what Tevez's beef is all about. I dont think we will find that out though and it doesn't matter really.
At present regardless of Tevez we just need two replacements. That will add to what we have and wont upset any apple carts at all. Also contrary to some that say our set up wont accomodate certain players, i dont agree. I think our set up will allow for pretty much anything. Ie it is the fluidity of the front 3 or 4 plus the FB's that if anything is defining our style. ( against Juve yesterday any half decent poacher would have had 2 or 3 goals ).

Related, Mr Cook told me that it in fact wasn't him that wrote anything on a napkin, but Noel scribbling down notes as they were talking...i kinda felt like he was fibbing, but that was his story. He told it believably, but...you never know i suppose.
