Now the decision hangs over a change to Manchester town center only on Edin Dzeko. The supervisory board of the VfL Wolfsburg is to have given green light for the record transfer. The Englishmen offer besides a substitute for the Bosnier: Roque Santa Cruz. The powerful committee of the member of the soccer federal league is to be after information of this newspaper united: If Manchester puts the 35-Millionen-Euro-Angebot for the gate hunter forwards (we reported), the VfL opens the way for the megatransfer.

Now only Dzeko must accept the offer of the Citizens, which offer a three and a half-annual contract to him until 2014 with an annual salary up to seven million euros plus special payments. If Dzeko with the Englishmen becomes united, it is to go fast. The town center responsible persons want to hold the first concrete conversations with the VfL still up to the weekend. From England it means that the contacts between the associations are torn off since the failed transfer attempt in the summer never, which can go to clarifying the details therefore fast over the stage.

The goal remains that Dzeko celebrates its town center debut on 5 January against arsenal London. If the VfL the change agrees, one town center wants the Wolfsburgern besides with Roque Santa Cruz to come to meet. The Stürmer stood already quite often on the Wolfsburger desire list, a transfer was however not realizable for financial reasons.**

Now the Citizens shows up ready, the 29-Jährigen, which had come 2009 for 16.8 million euros from Blackburn to let pull for three million euros as Dzeko replacement to the VfL. Santa Cruz plays with town center coach Roberto Mancini no more role, a borrowing business with Lazio Rome seemed still few days ago safe.

Now the Paraguayer explained however in a radio interview: „I will not agree a check-out counter for six months. “Santa Cruz tends to a return to Germany, where he celebrated successes in the Bavaria leotard once. Whether the very injury-susceptible Stürmer would help the VfL, seems however more than questionable. Wednesday, 29.12.2010

** Seemingly the only sticking point would be RSC's wages, and if Wolfsburg could afford them??

He's a big lad. Looks like he'll be someone who can knock a defender out of the way and thump in goals with his head. It's beautiful watching Silva thread his passes into the box but too often City have failed to find a way through when teams have come and parked the bus and City's forwards have been out-jumped by monsters. Here's another option. Could be a new Tommy Taylor, for the older readers.

I've had a feeling all along that City would have Torres if they could, not really at the expense of signing Dzeko but just for the sake of having him, irrespective of who else we've got.

Not based on any real info either but just a gut feeling & the fact that we've tried for him before, his situation at Liverpool is so strange, he looks clinically depressed & that he's there right under our noses, waiting to be rescued from the hole he's got himself stuck in.

I dont want him...hes off form and hes a sick note.

Dzeko is the missing link for us .....3 top quality forwards will get us to the promised land.

You heard it here first.

I don't want him either, he makes me vomit. I just think City wil take him if they can.

You may be right about Dzeko, if he can adapt to the Prem. Someone who takes up those kind of positions in the box & has a bit of presence, has been lacking at City since the Goat retired.

Errmm... I started posting about Dzeko being the ultimate link early last spring, when Teddy still thought Mancini was an assistant coach to Kiddo undertaking a language learning trip. And I am sure I was not alone...
I'd better say we heard it a little late from a late....

He looks a bit decent with his head which will give Silva another option to aim at. We have needed an arial threat since......erm... Sibierski?....
An early deal means we can now concetrate on offloading without much risk.

A little snippet from Ian HERBERT's piece in the Independant;

'Manchester City were last night moving closer to concluding a £30m deal to make Edin Dzeko the first big name signing of the transfer window, following talks over the Wolfsburg player.
Though Sir Alex Ferguson ultimately decided against moving for Dzeko, who scored at Old Trafford for the German side last season, because he believed he lacked pace, the 24-year-old's aerial power and ability to finish with both feet provides Roberto Mancini with another type of striker, as well as an insurance policy against the continued unpredictability of Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli'.

Why the fuck does this bloke feel the need to mention that piss stained old turd's opinion about a player who has been linked for a year to CITY not Utd?

Why not tell us what Jose Mourinho or Ancelotti or Wenger think of him? I'll tell you why; propaganda.

It's a blatant attempt to do Utd's publicity machine a favour; showing how they haven't signed him purely because he's not good enough for them. It's fucking obvious rag licking & it fucking stinks. If those tossers could get Dzeko, they'd have him in a flash. They can't fucking afford him.

He're's to his 1st of many goals & shoving it up the arse of those bastards in the next derby.

We're trying to get it done for the Arsenal game on the 5th. The only problem I can see, is RSC truning around like Ireland and saying "as I didn't ask for a transfer, I'd like a severence fee".......por favor.

Calm down Ted...you have misinterpreted the piece.
Taggart decided aginst a move because he lacked pace. Simply meaning that by the time Dzecko had landed, got through customs and out of the airport doors, Taggart would not have the pace to intercept him, bundle him into the black car and kidnap him.
Obviously the Berbaflop kidnap took too much out of him and he has yet to recover.

His considered lack of pace is possibly a reflection on the rag's defence, who failed to stop him scoring.

Seriously mate...you also missed, otr failed to comment on the sly dig about the INPREDICTABILITY of Ballo and Tevez. But I'd have thought that you'd have become immune from this media shite by now mate.

It gets on my tits the way these turds constantly link everything we do with some kind of connection to those bastards. I wonder if, when Harry Redknapp moves in for a player, they give Arsene Wenger's opinion on why he's not good enough for Arsenal? All the time our moves are talked about in context of those shithouses, then they accuse US of being obsessed by them & tell us we should concentrate on our own club!
