Despite City boss Roberto Mancini saying that he believes Newcastle will unlikely be selling Carroll any time soon, reports suggest that the Eastlands club are certainly curious.

Carroll netted his 11th goal of the season in the Magpies’ 3-1 loss to City on Boxing Day and has emerged as a target for Blues during the winter market.

These recent reports have forced German club Wolfsburg to cut the transfer fee of Edin Dzeko, who City are also very keen on, to around £25million.

You couldn't make it up but they have!

The Mail are reporting that the Dzeko deal near enough done, just waiting for the window to open to finalize the deal.

Dzeko: " Goodbye and thank you Wolfsburg! I'm gonna miss you all especially my career!".

Not sure where this was lifted from but it was the first comment on an espn story.

Also never seen Ruiz play but with Boateng, Boyata, Richards, Onuoha and Kompany I don't see why we need another young defender who'll take time to adjust to the league.
