OK - Wolfsburg send offer for Kevin Kuranyi (Dinamo Moscow) 11.500.000 EUR

Irfan said, We finished negotiations and all details (contract), and Tomorrow 01.01.2011. will be formally!
Dzeko can play against Arsenal!

Greetings from Bosnia

Would be very good news if true. Thanks mate, and welcome.

Welt is a VERY reputable, reliable paper in Germany.

They are basically also running a story on how Wolfsburg plan to replace Dzeko with Kuranyi.
The first paragraph says: "Edin Dzekos Wechsel zu Manchester City steht unmittelbar bevor."

That means "Edin Dzeko's switch to Manchester City is imminent."

my guess is he's probably in Portugal. Just a guess. Who knows.

Possible. Maybe if they are trying to sign a couple of players in short order he was doing the business on one of them..

all will be revealed!

I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out he was wrapping up a deal for some under the radar young striker somewhere. I feel there is a good chance of that happening this Jan.

that's how i feel as well...if he's travelling it's about something we don't even know yet. Kinda odd tho to jet off the day before a big match, but it must be important, which is obv why you suspected initially that it would be Dzeko related. Either way, i am just anxious to get this transfer window opened and SHUT so that we can get on with footballing and end the speculation of who's in and who's out.

I will be sad to see Ade leave tho if he goes. I still think highly of him and wish he could get a string of matches under his belt to show us something.

I think it was yesterday that he was away.. Doug says he was at training today. However as the Dzeko thing sounds more and more like a done deal i would have thought if it was anything signings related then it is likely to be something else.. we will just have to be patient!

As for Ade i'm not bovvohd, he has had his chance and didnt pick it up, i like him enough but i dont think he can listen properly.. so he is history.

If we do get Dzeko in time for Arsenal, that could be fun!

To say Ade has had his chance and not picked it up is pretty harsh given that he scored a decent hat-trick and then taken out for the next match. He's done ok when put in and I still think if you can get him in the mood when selected he can be unplayable.

i dunno what people want...i'm sure his goal record for us must be 1 in 2...what other kind of mood should he be in?

True he's 1 in 2. That's great and all but its just.. i dunno.. his manner on the pitch that kind of irritates.

He might score but i'm just not sure he does much else..

I know he does his job, scores, but.. i somehow just feel everytime he plays he should (and could) just give a bit more.

I have to say, I don't think Ade's done much wrong at all this season. When he has played he's been accused by some of being lazy but I think that's nonsense, he's been hit & miss but he's been trying as hard as most other PL strikers.

I just don't think Bob fancies him as our centre forward & I can understand why that is but I don't think his ability is in question. Let's face it, he's just a bit of an odd bloke & that shows in his movement & performances on the pitch; you can never tell where he's going to be & it must be difficult to play with him or organise a team with him in it.

Bob will know pretty much where Dzeko will be when we attack & so will the players who have to work with him.

It isn't just his goal tally, it is the fact that he is totally unreliable. My guess is that Mancini could see that and on top of that Ade probably didnt follow his instructions and so progressively slipped off the radar. He was given a chance from pre-season onwards, started moaning and didn't put a shift in when we really needed him. He played well for a couple of games prior to the Arsenal game and according to Doug was blinding in training.. but that appears just to have been all about getting to play in the Arse game! When he didn't play he seemed to disappear again.. that is just not good enough and as a team with ambition we cannot rely on him to show up when and as he wants to.

If Mancini wants him I am sure he has plans up his sleeve to use all 3 of our strikers. Maybe just not every match.
