At 2-0 I actually dared believe they might at least draw and drop 2 points...but no, the refs won't allow that to happen ever, will they?

We have to hope in Chelsea to keep them just six points ahead, and then have the balls to go for it at the swamp; the worst outcome is that we lose (but it won't fuck up our run to the CL) but I don't think we will lose if we go at them from the start. In fact I'm pretty sure we can win.

IF all that happened we would be just 3 points off them...a small gap after all.

If we win our games before the derby and stay clear of Spurs then we wont have too much to lose not to go for it, i hope we do because they look very beatable.

You're not suggesting there's bias in the game with regards to the officials are you??

You know the mob will be after you calling you a cry baby Ted, don't you?

Stinks as much now as it has always stank, only a lot of these decisions that go for them and against us tally up to anything like ten points over a season. We didn't notice as much before, but when it could be the difference in winning the league....

That aside, United show amazing will to win. And that's why they win more than anyone. Can anyone on this board honestly tell me that Manchester City always show a great WILL to win?

I think not.

Agreed, & it's that side of the game which we have to learn. It starts with self belief & a winning mentality, which some people on here talk about just don't get.

A side looking to replace them who is afraid to try & beat them & thinks a point v them on their own ground is a good result, is not ready to compete in that department. The fact that even City, with 100's of millions of pounds worth of talent, were afraid to come out of their own half, highlights one of the big problems of the PL & the reason so many sides & refs, cave in to them late in games, or even before the game starts; people expect them to do it so they do. Even City expected them to do it, so we played for a cowardly point, rather than take them on when the whole world was watching, waiting, for someone to put a stop to them. That defeatest attitude permeates through the whole PL Look at how Arsenal couldn't string 2 passes together at OT; utterly defeated before the kick off. Teams are waiting for the sudden turn around when winning, so they & the refs, fold & unwittingly play their part in it happening time & again.

Chelsea are the only side who regularly go after them without fear & were worthy champions.

Until we have the balls to stand toe to toe with these cunts & if we lose, do it again & again & again until we win, we don't have the right to be champions. They are showing us how it's done, even with a seriously flawed team. Let's hope we start at OT & win or lose, put a marker down for next season.

I really do agree with what you and Ted have said but I felt like someone had died on them three occasions last season, sounds over the top as it's just football but I was left heartbroken and don't won't to feel that way ever again. It's a thin line I guess and the feelings when we do turns these fuckers over to lift a trophy will be equally amazing for sure!!

I'd rather die three times in a row fast and full of pride than really slow feeling like we could have done so much more.

Ted and the rest. I agree with what you are all saying. When it comes to the derby in a couple of weeks Bobby's game plan will depend on how we do in the next two games and how the other top 4 do. If we have some space between us and Chelsea going into the game I think he will adopt another approach i.e. go for it. He'll know if we lose we're still in the champs league places. If we are hanging on then he will park the bus. He's on record as saying draw against the top teams and win the others and you win the league. I would be more than happy if we break their unbeaten record in their own back yard. You can only get the luck they get for so long. Sooner or later that luck has to desert you. Come 12th Feb around 14:35(or if they are losing around 14:42) hopefully it does.

I disagree...I think Bobby will play defensive no matter what our position in the league is

If anyone is expecting him to attack the rags you are going to be left very disappointed

I'l settle for being fairly cautious, keeping possesion & counter attacking tbf. That's what Sven's side did & it was excellent. Just can't accept keeping most of the team in our half even when we get a breakaway & only attacking with only two players like we did at home. That was shameful.
