I agree with this, can't see Adebayor getting more than a telling off.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is some sort of trade off here, ie. take the punishment without appeal on the Van Persie tackle and then we'll be lenient on the celebratioon charge once all the hype has died down.

I think he'll get 3 game suspended ban , ie it will only take effect if he does it this again season.

Fine and a warning as to his future conduct like Joey, like Chuckle
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.

I just wish they'd make up their mind!!! The back door legalize here is just ridiculous.

I cant see how the FA can do anything about this the ref punished him and he didn't really flout any laws.
The Arse fans should be taken to task if anything.
Make Arse play behind closed doors.

I suppose the big difference between the Ade celebration when compared to Chuckle and Van Pussie, is the reaction of the fans.
The Arsenal fans behaved disgracefully, whilst the City fans behaved impeccably.
As Wooders says, the Arsenal fans seem to be getting rewarded for bad behaviour.
Maybe next time.....we should all go ape!

Should be getting near to a decision now. Let's hope our top notch lawyers have built a solid case and we can look forward to having him available at Villa on Monday

the ref punished him for waisting time, not for inappropriate behaviour. Thats why they can do him. Its another cheap shot at city's expense and another glaring example of one rule for four, another rule for anyone else.

Of course, inappropriate behaviour could mean anything, so the FA could charge you with that offence, for somehting that is not in the rules. Its a massive cop out.

How on earth can that yellow card have been for timewasting? The whole incident only took about 30 seconds...

My thoughts exactly. But thats was the explantion on the FA website. Like I said its a cop out. The ref has probably bowed to pressure from the FA and changed what he was booked for. Like i also said, inappropriate behaviour could mean anything, its the FA's way of being able to charge someone without a proper charge (ie second booking, violent conduct etc).

£25,000 and a suspended 2 match ban.

Good he's not suspended but a joke considering what happened to Chuckle1 after a previous fine and a warning.

So as long as he dont celebrate near away fans before december 2010, he wont get no suspension. Chuffed he hasnt been slapped an automatic ban.

So Monday, what will Hughes do, drop Petrov and move Bellers on the left and Ade and Tevez up front.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

delighted, if somewhat suprised. i thought the (sweet) FA, would chuck the book at him, in their continuing quest to baffle everyone with a brain cell, in their stupid, two faced and 'pro big 4' decisions.

The sooner the FA is run by people with a bit of common, and knowledge of the game at all levels, instead of basic admin, the better.

From the OS -

City boss Mark Hughes was delighted with the conclusion.

“There has been a lot said and written about Emmanuel’s goal celebration. We are just glad to put it all behind us now and I am relieved he will be able to play at Aston Villa on Monday night,” he declared.

“Manu was in great form before his suspension and having him available again is a huge boost to us.”

I'm happy with this, i'm pretty sure he won't be stupid enough to do it again!
"If we fire our manager after just one bad season - We'll become Chelsea"
"If we think we can fix the problem by buying expensive players - We'll become City"
"If we remember the good times to entertain us during the bad times - We'll become Liverpool"

So, keep calm and do it the United way

"We invest in young players, That is what we are good at — we’re not like other clubs who can spend fortunes on proven goods. We know that Manchester City are going to pay stupid money, pay silly salaries and all that. We can’t do anything about it. We concentrate on what we can do to try to bring players in for the right reasons. We invest in those who will be with the club for a long time, who will create the character of the club, who will create excitement for our fans. We are very proud of that and we are going to continue that way" - Alex Ferguson 14th May 2012

so he got a 2 game ban, but we don't yet know when he will have to serve it?
if so, who determines when it will be served?
my concern is that he will miss one or two important games later this season.
should I be worried?
Berbatov wins golden boot, spends following season on the bench while his team loses title on goal difference. Well played, Fergie.

Just double standards - they were probably going to throw the book - and then chuckle 1 did his thing - even the FA would have problems justifying it then - I actually (although relieved) find this disgusting when set against other incidents
