Tevez interview on the OS.

A step above the usual platitudes. He thinks Silva is the best signing he's made and reaffirms his commitment to the club for the umpteenth time. Good watch.

In personality terms he is most DEFINITELY not up there with those two. I really doubt he shares the same heartfelt affinity to the club that those two did/still do. He's clearly a bit of a mercenary, but he's a fucking awesome player and the longer we can keep him happy for the better.

Really?? Sorry but he cant ever been put in the bracket with them after that stunt he pulled in December, bang out of order and it will take me a long time to forgive him for that. Lets see if he is still drapped in blue come the start of next season.

Maybe, maybe not. One thing I know for sure is that he is the best striker I have ever seen at City and I saw Lee and Tueart, the latter being my favourite City player ever. This fella is the first name in my all time XI. He's fantastic and, worryingly, we'd be nowhere without him.

I think he'll stay for a long time. Why? Because he's as thick as duck shit and will do whatever his agent says for him to do. All City have to do is keep Kia happy and we'll be swimming in goals.

Anyone know why his kids are suddenly in Manchester now? I thought one of his main reasons for leaving was he wanted to spend more time with them in Argentina - suddenly he changes his mind and they're permanent fixtures at games. Did we do a deal with his missus to pay her £160K a week to keep them in England? :-)

The interview is good and at least they got the translations right this time, word for word.

As discussed at length at the time, we dont know what went on in Tevezgate and as i felt at the time there was something else to it all than what came out in the press. My own belief is that it was to do with bringing players in and that had been promised specifically to Tevez and he got wind that it wasn't going to happen, so he forced the issue. Now i could be completely and totally wrong about that, but to me it makes more sense out of what little quoted stuff we got fed. I think it is clear that Tevez is committed 100% to scoring goals, as both a personal quest and for the by product of probably winning most games as a result. Imo if he is playing for a team that give him the opportunities for goals then he will basically be happy, if in addition that team start to win stuff at all levels then Tevez will be both happy and committed to the team. Imo we have to start to win trophies to turn Tevez from just being happy to be scoring to having a depth of feeling for the club. Tbh i think that is fair enough, given the quality that he is. From a purely Tevez point of view he basically deserves to be in a team that are second to none.

In time we will live up to those expectations and he will love the club for it. (starting with the Golden Boot this year).

Oh and by the way Dazby, err...i think duck shit is quiet watery.. from what i can remember of it landing on my noggin

That's because of the way you felt about him before. I remember one of your posts about him smiling when he scores for "my City" (your words). Difficult to feel the same after your trust has been destroyed. I know, I feel the same, but cling on to the hope that he was just being used as a pawn by his agent,

Tevez is his own man and does what he feels....I know this from people who actually know the guy in Argentina.
His kids are his world and if they are with him then hes a happy man...rain ..snow..or sludge.....

I think City are doing EVERYTHING in their power to ensure his kids are happy in the UK.

I clearly have a longer memory and a bigger player pool to choose from than you :-)
He's a very good player and I'd like us to keep him but he has his weaknesses which he needs to address.
